I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. I selected this college because it provided a good combination of quality education, reasonable charges and learning atmosphere where students would be able to grow both personally and professionally. When I compared this college with several other colleges I had also applied to, I saw that the college had a better technical ity than Northern Jiaotong University in terms of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program. This was mainly from faculty members who were experienced in industry besides books themselves, curriculum which kept pace with the times and good laboratory facilities. Admission Process at NIT Durgapur Here are the formal steps, exams, eligibility, cutoffs etc. Level Course / Program Eligibility / Minimum Criteria Entrance Exam(s) Accepted / Used Seat Intakes & Allocation UG (B.Tech / Dual Degree etc.) B.Tech & B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree etc. Class 12 (10+2) with PCM subjects; usually a minimum board percentage is required (often ~75% for General, slightly lower for reserved categories). JEE Main score is the primary criteria. Seats are allocated via JoSAA / CSAB counselling. There's Home State and Other State quotas; also reservations (OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD etc.). The number of seats for each branch varies. For example UG B.Tech seats ~ 876 for 2025?26. PG (M.Tech, M.Sc etc.) M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA etc. For M.Tech: Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech or equivalent) in relevant discipline, with minimum marks (often 60% for General/OBC/EWS, relaxations for SC/ST).
