Remarks
The faculty of CVS is helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Teachers are ready to give us extra classes. Many of my school seniors were also in CVS and they recommended me CVS over any other South Campus college. The only thing I think our college lacks is good sports facility. Admission procedure was super easy and smooth infact the teachers also helped us a lot during the time of admission. Reviews at Shiksha.com were helpful. Because of COVID-19, the whole admission procedure was a bit late. My admission in CVS was confirmed on 3rd November.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of my interest in Management and the opportunities I thought I would get after getting this Bachelor's degree. The faculty student ration is around 40:1. The teaching methods are commendable. All the teachers were very helpful and even took extra online classes before our examinations. The 1st Semester exams took place in March 2021 and they were quite difficult.
Placement Experience
This year there were no Campus Placements for students pf any Semester. But after a student gets his/her BMS Degree he/she opens a gate to a lot of opportunities. Personally I would be doing Marketing Internships or jobs after I complete my course and then do an MBA. So that I could become a professional in my field. But even without an MBA, one can get a high money yielding job only if he/she is confident and has done multiple Internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees hike is almost minimal and the cost to study is very cheap. CVS allows a student to do BMS at the cheapest price in comparison to other DU colleges i.e. only Rs.30000 for 3years. Not going to lie, I was disheartened to know there are no academic scholarships in the campus and no financial assistance. I found through LinkedIn with a total stipend of around Rs24000. As told by the 3rd year seniors.
Campus Life
I haven't come across any of the fests organized by the college because of the COVID-19 but the societies and clubs at CVS are very active and gave us a lot of exposure. I am a part of The Commerce Society and their this year's event ARCANOM3.0 was a great success. We all had a lot of fun and got to learn a lot during this online annual event. I have no clue about the amenities in the classroom because we haven't visited our college yet but our college has a special "Girl's Room" and "Boy's Room". The sports facility at CVS is not good. The only sport one could learn here is Volleyball. Clubs at CVS- The Commerce Society.
