Remarks
It's the best college for marketing, and I wanted to pursue a career in marketing/ product management and it is on par with the IIMs in terms of the roles that we get during placements and summer internships. The admission process is quite straightforward, where you get a shortlist on the basis of your CAT percentile. Once shortlisted, you get to the WAT-GD-PI process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty: student ratio is about 1:50, which is very ideal considering that the faculty is world class and they listen and discuss each and every problem anyone ever has, and discuss it thoroughly with practical business case examples.
Internships Opportunities
The college doesn't help the international business batch, as they have to pursue a course abroad. Usually, the students in this program look for their own internships. It's not difficult to find an internship, most people are able to get a good 5 digit monthly stipend if they try in India, or a good internship outside of India.
Placement Experience
All students are eligible for placements during the 5th or the 6th (last) term, as per the placement dated decided by the placement committee on management development institute (MDI), Gurgaon. About 130 companies visited and the average package offered was around 23.15 LPA. Majorly, marketing profiles were offered, followed by consulting, BFSI and so on
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is one of the highest when compared to all Indian b-schools. The flagship management program and the HR program costs about 21 lakhs in total, while the much better and much higher in demand - international business program costs about 25 lakhs, where they send students for a one year exchange, and students get 2 degrees, PGDM from MDI and MiM from ESCP Europe
Campus Life
The campus is in the heart of Haryana, everything is available nearby. It is one of the best greeneries available around. The campus is beautiful and has a lot of eateries and other small shops like general stores, dry cleaning, washers etc are also available on campus
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is allotted randomly on a twin sharing basis. This happens during registration itself. They host cooler sellers and general toiletries as well, you can buy a mattress and all bathroom related things there. The mess food is above par, along with many other eateries available on campus, gives you the option of eating varieties of food
Interview Experience
The process consists of a WAT-GD-PI round, in that order. WAT, or written ability test, is where you're given a topic and about 15-30 minutes to write a coherent essay on the same topic. The same topic is given as the topic for GD - Group Discussion. Finally, everyone is called in for an interview and these interviews are very abstract in nature
