Remarks

Dyal Singh Evening College is a very good college from the aspect of exposure and all. I got admission to this college in October, it was late in comparison to usual because of covid. I got admission through merit based. The point that should be noted is that you should calculate your marks on the basis of the best four. And if you're from RBSE,(Rajasthan board) you've to deduct your practical Marks of theoretical subjects. I preferred this college over another because it has got its name in the AIR list of colleges (NIRF Ranking). I used reviews given by the students on college Dunia and some other websites. And the most important thing about this college is its location. Nearby metro station is just 100 metres from college. Overall, I would say it's a good College. Although you get lesser exposure in comparison to North campus's college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I choose Ba Programme (Eco+OR). The faculty of Dyal Singh Evening College is quite good. But problems are still there as at the starting of my semester there was no teacher of OR. And the teacher got an appointment late. And as usual, she completed the six months course in 7 days. Although, all other facility members were quite good. They are helpful. They support you and guides you. Almost all of my teachers were PhD Degree holders. There were 52 students in my class. So, Student faculty ratio is fine. My semester exams were conducted in the month of March. As it was an Obe exam. So, it was quite easy to clear. But I think from next semester they won't conduct Obe exams. Exams are not much difficult, if you study some part daily, you can easily clear with a good cgpa.

Internships Opportunities

3

Ya, there is a The Placement Cell which works on this specifically. They focus on getting companies to the campus for internship and job opportunities and all. Internships offered under the TPC are just fine. Although, they are paid but not up to the mark. Usually, they provide 6000rs p.m. As internship opportunities are just fine.

Placement Experience

3.5

Many of the companies visit the College for jobs. But the point is how many big companies recruit. Although, there are some big companies too like byju. The highest package offered was 8lacs p.a. The average placement is 2-3 lac. The percentage of placement depends on your course like most of the placement are from Bcom and Bcom Hons. I've planned to pursue MBA After after my graduation. So I will fight the Cat exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Aa Dyal Singh Evening College is a government college. So its fees are minimal. It's affordable. Although, I didn't find any good scholarships there. Although there were, but not useful, I think. I think there is some rebate for reserved categories. Although, I didn't get it as I belong to the general category. In short, it's affordable.

Campus Life

2.5

College Life at Dyal Singh Evening College lacks here. As there is everything, by which I can say it fine, but not up to the mark. If you want to play outdoor games, you'll have to face difficulty as the ground of the College is very small. Although there is an annual fest, in which you can find many comps and get exposure and a lot of masti. There are many societies like Enactus, Comhub, TPC, Aakriti, etc. They all are just fine. Personally, I didn't like any of these societies. In short, it's an average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy
