Remarks

I would like to have CSE department, so at my rank I got AOT, and it is a very good college for CSE, so I choose it. First, attend the Wbjee exam then I got my results after some days, then I attended the Wbjee counselling, by visiting a counselling centre, (Asansol), and I have to submit all the documents like the rank card, 10th and 12th certificate copy and many more documents, so in the second round I got AOT Kolkata, and then I went to college for admission. So I would like to share my admission experience that is when I visited the college it was as expected, the look is very good, and the teacher is very supportive, so I have done the admission process by submitting the document and fee, and then my admission was done, and after some days I have my first day of college, and it was as expected, the teacher was good, all the things were very good canteen, hostel and everything was available for students in the college campus, so I just loved the AOT environment.

Course Curriculum Overview

This CSE department is not in trend in the industry and I have also a passion for CSE so I choose this course. And the faculty: students ratio is very good. All the faculty is highly educated and most of them have a PhD degree.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience

After the 6th semester, placement process starts. All the student with 6.5 GPA or above are eligible for the placement, many companies visit our college, so it is very easy to get placement, the highest package is 12 lakh, and the average is 4 lakh lowest is 3 lakh. Currently, I am in 2nd year so definitely, I am looking for a good job after BTech.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very much affordable as it is only 90k per year, and also some reserved students get a scholarship, so it is very affordable, the quality of education and placement the college provides is awesome that too on very less fee.

Campus Life

College life at Academy of Technology Kolkata is awesome, here you will get all the facilities that a college student require, so I would like to suggest this college to the students who are getting a chance to get this college.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
