Remarks

Over if the best private business school. MDI is one of the best locations very near to the National Capital and in the economic hub Gurgaon. It has one of the very good placement with top 3 consulting companies recruiting from MDI and it's also having one of the biggest international exchange program.

Course Curriculum Overview

International Business is one of the most rigour programs in any B School across India. There's an ongoing assessment with midterm and end-term exam along with quiz, group projects and assignments. Teachers are pretty good but mostly for marketing.

Internships Opportunities

Great sales and marketing roles, with respectable general management roles and consulting opportunities at big consulting firms like BCG. Program Manager role in Amazon, Employee Relation intern in Aditya Birla Group, Product Manager at various FMCG Companies.

Placement Experience

MDI is having one of the best placement among the top B Schools of India. Top Consulting firms like McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain and Company, Deloitte Consulting etc. Top FMCG Companies like HUL, Godrej, RB also recruit from MDI. MDI average package has increased up to 22 LPA and summer internship has increased up to 2.3 Lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

O.P. Jindal scholarship of INR 1,50,000 for second-year students. At the end of the second year, MDI awards five merit scholarships of INR 10, 000/- each to the top five students. A number of international scholarships are available for the students of MDI who go on the exchange programme to MDI’s partner Universities/Business Schools. For example Sciences Po Lille, Lille, University of Maribor, NUCB Business School, Japan, etc.

Campus Life

MDI has a lush green campus in the economic hub of Gurgaon. MDI is a student-run campus with more than 20 clubs from Consulting Clubs, Cultural club, HR Club to National Management Convention Club. Unnati is India’s first student-run investment and research group which is primarily focused on equity research. It was conceptualized in June 2001 with the objective of providing future managers with a launchpad to enhance their learning.

Interview Experience

MDI has Group Discussion on the same topic as the written test so it's good to prepare your thoughts. Interview questions are based on the application and why the applicant wants to pursue MBA, their graduation subject, their interest in any field or their extracurricular achievement.

One of the best universities for MBA

Placement Experience:

Placements is good. Higher placements come for Engineering students but MBA and BBA students also get avg placement of 8-9 LPA. Many of my seniors from last year got good placements at top companies like Hyundai, Maruti,Amkette, Flipkart, Adaan.

Placement Experience:

In the first year, there are placement opportunities for internship and in the second year, there are proper campus placements that take place, led by a student elected placement committee. Some of the top companies that extended offers for the students were Microsoft, Google, AccStrat, ITC, Mondelez, JPMC etc. The highest package offered was 5L and the average was 2.2L with 100% placements for the summer internships. I plan to work in the finance or consult sector after getting my degree.

Remarks:

The campus life at our college is very enjoyable. The system of library help the students to gain knowledge through different books. Ciunselling system is also provided at the college so that the student can get a healthy environment. Indoor Game facilities and a common room is also provided. These all are the positive things about our college.

Remarks:

College is cleaned. Rooms are very airy it would be good if there was an AC. But it is o.k. Campus is cleaned and green. Canteen is so good. They use to make fresh food every day which is the best thing of them so there is no need to worry about stomach ache due to old food. Overall good college.

Rules are strict. Students have to be punctual at college timings. In starting, schedule seems tough but after days goes, all turns into quality. Whatever the schedule is: it is good and long term beneficial for the growth of the students.

Remarks:

Considering the experience of the participants, the course has been designed for learning and upgradation of knowledge and skills nationally as well as internationally. The Course curriculum also includes one week foreign exposure to a neighbouring country. The international attachment of the participants of this group was organised at ‘Universiti Utara Malaysia, Kedah, Malaysia’.

An enriching experience

Remarks:

The uniqueness of the programme lies in its extensive use of market professionals as resource persons for the programme. Apart from sound grounding in academic concepts pertaining to the capital markets, the participants gets a chance to interact with senior regulatory officials, executives of exchanges, leading merchant bankers and foreign institutional investors.

Since my CAT percentile was quite less, 96, and being from a top NIT, I wanted to get into a B-School which could complement my NIT tag, while my fream was a tier - 1 college, my percentile shut all doors. Use of GenAI in Customer support function

I chose MDI Gurgaon over XLRI Delhi, IIM Shillong, new and baby IIMS, NITIE - PGDSM. The reason for choosing MDI was its proximity to my hometown, Tier 1 status. I was rejected from IIM ABCLKI and FMS - Delhi mostly on the basis of my undergrad scores and a CAT percentile which was not high enough. Internship in ABG !!

You need to appear in the CAT exam. Any percentile over 90%ile with a sectional of 70 70 70 cleared will fetch you a call from MDI Gurgaon. However, to convert core, 96+ is a safe score for non-engg and 98.5+ for GEM. After you get a shortlist, you'll have to appear and fill out a form which MDI-G will send and you can edit your details there. Further, you'll get a PI date.
