Remarks

The infrastructure is commendable with amazing placement records in the past few years. Training is given for placement interviews, boosting our confidence. Seniors are friendly. It is strictly ensured that ragging does not take place. Teachers are praiseworthy. They do not just try to finish the syllabus but try to strengthen our basics and make us fall in love with the subject. The college is very strict about attendance and conducts frequent exams to prepare us. They also emphasize on extracurricular activities, besides academics to groom us into all-rounders, also there are many cultural clubs to pursue our interests. Admission is conducted based on WBJEE and JEE main results. Counselling is conducted after the declaration of WBJEE and JEE Main results. There is also management quota through which students can enrol. I preferred this college as it has good industry connections and provides exposure to the modern scenario through internships and workshops.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose CSE as it is the leading sector in the industry these days. There are about 60 students in each section and we have one teacher for each theory subject and 2-3 for lab classes. Teachers are highly qualified with a great experience. They don't just rush with the syllabus but try to strengthen our fundamental knowledge and induce love within us for the subject. They emphasize on practical applications and interact with the students. There are many students who didn't have computer science in their higher secondary level. So the college has arranged special C programming classes in the 1 st semester though it is not in the syllabus of this semester. They are trying to make the unfamiliar students acquainted with the basics so that when we come across the language in 2nd-semester syllabus, we don't panic. The teachers are very patient and answer all doubts.Frequent quizzes are held, also term exams and internals are held before semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The college has students who are involved with Internshala and many internship offers are available both online and offline due to good industry connections. There are amazing stipends with flexible working hours.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students become eligible for campus placement in the 3rd year. The companies which visit the campus include Wipro, TCS, ITC, Amazon, Infosys etc. The on-campus placement opportunities are amazing. The highest package is about 10 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 4 lakhs per annum. In CSE, IT and ECE, more than 95% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for 1st semester was 40000 but owing to pandemic conditions, it has been decreased to 35000 for this year's batch. Total fees payable at the time of admission is 59000 for 2020 batch. Admission fees are 1500. They charge 2500 for admission kit and identity card. Library fees are 6000. Students' welfare and games and sports fees are 4000. Caution deposit of 10000 is refundable. TFW students need to pay 24000 at the time of admission. Students with family income up to 2.5 lakhs per annum are given TFW scholarship. I received it. 2nd-semester fees are 40000. 3rd semester and 4th-semester fees are 41000 each. 5th and 6th-semester fees are 42000 each. 7th and 8th-semester fees are 43000 each. These can be revised later on.

Campus Life

4.5

The Annual fest is Arcadia and the annual tech fest is Techfiesta. These are celebrated with great enthusiasm. There are many books in the library which are offered to the students for the maximum duration of 1 semester. Classrooms are well equipped. There is a gym and sports grounds, students are given sessions for various games after classes are over. Some are only for boys, some only for girls and some for both boys and girls. The students have won many state level and national level competitions extracurricular activities are highly encouraged with different cultural clubs, one for writing, one for drama, one for music and dance, one for sports, one for volunteering etc.

Placement Experience:

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
