Remarks

Good aspects of this college. The college is located in Vasundhra Enclave (Near Mayur Vihar) which is a pretty good location. The college has a large and spacious campus. It is very green and clean. The college has basic amenities like water supply, washrooms, labs, electricity, ventilated classes, playground, and an air-conditioned auditorium. The college has a very good library as it is purely electronic. There are good electronic machines for borrowing and returning books. Also, it is very spacious. If you are a student who loves studies, this college is for you.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is detailed and comprehensive. I chose this course because Psychology interests me a lot. The ratio of faculty members of Psychology is fewer compared to the strength of students. The faculty is caring and understanding. Majority of the teachers are highly qualified or doctorate in the discipline of Psychology. Also, the teaching method is interactive. It was easy to pass the term exams as the teachers helped with the notes and syllabus during the classes.

Internships Opportunities

4

There were many social welfare internships organized for Psychology students. Though there might be more opportunities for students of other fields as the field of Psychology is still growing in this college. Psychology is being recently introduced in 2017.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements for other courses are great. However, for psychology, it is essential to have a masters degree to get a good job. Though placements were conducted, there were many students who got their jobs in writing and marketing field. There were many companies like Amazon, Chegg, etc. that visited this college to offer opportunities for students. The profile was 2-3 lakh per annum. Moreover, it is expected that there might be few jobs for Psychology students after Bachelors in this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course is highly affordable. It costs around 12k annually. The fees of first year is low in comparison to subsequent years. The college gives students financial assistance and may reduce the cost of the course according to some documents required by the administration.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life was good. The annual and tech fest is entertaining. It is conducted in the month of February or March. The library has lots of books which may help students during the exams. It is one of the best libraries if we compare it with other DU colleges. The classroom is well-ventilated and spacious. Moreover, sports and co-curricular activities are organized at equal intervals to boost the motivation of students. There are many social clubs like a dance club, drama club, music club, literary club, and eco-club. It also has an initiative of teaching children and third genders which is really great. Moreover, there are many other social groups for the welfare of the society.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
