Remarks

My college has a moderate infrastructure. Big classrooms. Well equipped labs. Air conditioned central library. The labs are well maintained. Wifi is slow but okay. Canteen is unclean. Not so well maintained. Food is goof but place is a bit ill maintained. Other parts of college are good. But our campus in not that large. We don't have a ground where we cam roam about in our free periods. But overall i would say it's okay.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am a student of CSE 2nd year. I always wanted to be a computer science engineer that's why I'm here. The teaching faculty of my college is good no doubt. A very few teachrts are there who are not so good but i cannot blame the entire faculty for that. Some teachers are excellent, they motivate us and also help us a lot. Our college is not an autonomous one, it has to follow the course approved by our university, MAKAUT. Syllabus is not updated follows an old one as compared to JU and all.

Course Fees: INR 86000 per year

Placement Experience

The quality of placements is good. It ranks 4th among all the private engineering colleges in kolkata. 90% of students get placed every year in top software companies. Maximum package is 10 LPA and average package is about 3 to 4 LPA. Since I'm a first year student, i have no idea about placements that much.

College Events

College campus is not so big. But its good. There are different forums where students can enroll according to their own will and take part in activities and gather experience. The faculty and staff is helpful no doubt about that. The loaction is very good easily we can go without getting lost. It is situated very near to our Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. The place is absolutely safe and the environment is very very good

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3.
