Remarks

This college held the counselling session before any other. I was selected so I did not go for any other college. The faculty was good, especially our HOD. Very caring and helpful. Always there for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was up to date. The faculty was highly competent and very helpful, especially our Head of the department, Professor Hare Krishna Hazra. The other professors were also knowledgeable. The guided us at every step, always encouraging and supporting us.

The college does not hold any placement programmes. This is one drawback of the college. Though initiatives were being taken to quickly start placement programmes.

College Events

The college celebrates different types of festivals from different religion like Saraswati Puja, Holi, Milaad-un-Nabi and many others. Annual sports is held in the month of January or February. Various competitions like Badminton etc are also held.

Campus Life

The library is quiet big with lots of books. The common room is well maintained and having carrom board, ping pong board. The old canteen is small but food is quite good. Plus, the price is reasonable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-> CSE is the main stream because under this, other courses like Cybersecurity can be learned as extra courses, while still learning things that are very important like DSA and DAA. -> Everything is taught slightly fast and students have to keep up everyday. Even one class missed will be heavy on studying. -> The mic quality in some classes are bad and should be improved. It's impossible to understand what the teachers says when using them. -> Usually term exams start one month after the start of a semester, with the Semester exam being held 3 months later.

I have not yet reached the placement time because i am a fresher. But more than 1000 offers are made to students and placements are pretty good as i got to know from my seniors. The highest package from chemical branch was 75 lacs last year.

Education in Maulana Azad College

I applied for almost all of the NAAC accredited A graded college. In each of those my name appeared for the selection list for admission. But I chose Maulana And College over the other colleges due to its best quality education. Moreover, I wanted to study in a co-educational college.
