Remarks

The Good aspects of our colleges are the best campus life any college can provide, all students from around here have a competitive mentality which makes it really hard to be at the top of your department. The bad aspects are NSS here doesn't provide the required activities, tours only are biased on the attendances. You may also have an understanding problem with what the teacher is saying if you aren't from the North East (some of the faculties have a very bad accent). Overall for my given Jee rank this is good for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because of my rank in Jee. Faculty to student ratio is good as there is a class of only around 70 students. All the students are guided by either p.hd scholars or professors, their teaching methods aren't that good to be completely dependent upon them. Exams are pretty much the same in a pattern around the NE i.e, unit tests, midterm, and end-term

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I don't know much about it, but it does give internship opportunities as there is a separate department of training and placement cell.

Placement Experience

3

After the 4th year student becomes eligible enough for campus placement. If you're opting for a good placement here it'll be really difficult to do so. first, there is less number No. Of companies visiting here because it is approx.120 km from the main city. Also, the percentage of students getting placed is less than 30 percent at an average of 3-3.6 lac LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee here is really reasonable with respect to other gfti's and nit's . I am pursuing B.Tech and the fee for me is pretty much 23000 for each semester except for the 1st semester which is around 35000. The scholarship one can get is only for SC and ST only and whose family income is less than 1lpa. The scholarship is given by the state government if you apply for it.

Campus Life

5

Every year annual meet occurs. In this meet inter hostel competitions are held for different sports. Also, cultural rally passes throughout the university, making it an extremely joyous and ecstatic event to remind you the whole year that how good that was. The university has a student board. The president and members of this board are selected by-elections between the representative of different departments, the hostel also there is an election for department representative also. sports and Club activities like archery, swimming, yoga, volleyball, basketball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, football, and many more. Also, there is a well-equipped ground for every sport.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

In a double room, a common rack shelf, two wardrobes, two tables, and chair sets and obviously two beds. Meal quality is far better than in Kota. The hostel is assigned by the counseling in the admission process. PG not recommended.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute. The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.
