The curriculum is too hectic and we get less time for study , plus the faculties are a bit strict.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The Tezpur university accepts the semester wise payment. Per semester we need to pay a sum of 27000 (excluding the hostel fee) . This includes the registration fee, admission fee ,lab fee, exam fee, etc.For the SC/ST category the hostel fee is reduced by 1000 rs. Plus the Food and Technology branch have an extra admissionfee of 1000 rs .

The tuition fee is very low compared to other institutions and there is no much hikes in the fee structure. The cost of the course is around 60000 with not much compulsory charges. Almost every scholarship provided by the govt are recognised by the institution. Campus placement is quite good here.

The fee structure is the lowest as compared with any other engineering college or govt. colleges. You have to pay approx 26k per semester as a fee and 2300-2500 per month as a hostel mess fee. Scholarships are provided to needy students and to reserved section students so you can apply for scholarships too.

Less Fee, Average Placement

The fee is very less as compared to other colleges for Engineering. Approx 26k is semester fees including the hostel. One has to pay a mess fee monthly which is generally below 2500 every month. If you are from a minority you can avail of many scholarships.

For the B.tech. courses the fees are 54000 INR per year which also includes the hostel charges. Only you had to pay extra 1500-2600 Rs for the mess facilities. Due to being a central university if you had a good marks in 10th and 12th you can avail scholarship on the the national scholarship portal for the different scholarship schemes launched by the central government. Students of Northeastern states also get extra scholarships for study. Campus placement are good for core branches like CSE and ECE ,other had an average rate.The average packages and rates are stated below CSE-5.9LPA and 90% ECE-4.9 LPA and 80% EE- 4-5 LPA and 40% CIVIL- 4.2LPA and 60% Mechanical- 4.3 LPA and 35%

Best Infrastructure, Good ROI, average placement.

The fee is very minimal here. One can complete the B.Tech degree within 4 lakh including the mess fees and hostel fees. The rate of interest is very good here. You can expect a placement of 4 LPA average if you get circuital branch.

Tezpur Central University, ASSAM

The fee structure is cool, considering it is a GFTI college. Coming from a middle-class family I can assure you it is 1000 times better than going to a private college. For NE region students without any Gap year, you can apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship under UGC at National Scholarship Portal. Placements are as expected by a tier-3 college. 4LPA is the average CTC given if you are good with coding, you can get a decent job. I had done some coding towards the end of my final year so I was able to crack a 6.5 CTC job.

Tezpur university

The fee here is really reasonable with respect to other gfti's and nit's . I am pursuing B.Tech and the fee for me is pretty much 23000 for each semester except for the 1st semester which is around 35000. The scholarship one can get is only for SC and ST only and whose family income is less than 1lpa. The scholarship is given by the state government if you apply for it.

The syllabus is really upto the mark of new global era. Alongwith our academic syllabus we arr fortunate to learn many interdisciplinary courses aswell, atleast get the idea. As per UGC guidelines this institute follows the course syllabus strictly. Most of the faculties are good but I don't like the teaching way at all. I think some faculties should improve their teachings style.
