Remarks

I chose to attend the college, as I wanted to pursue CSE. Apart from that, the college also holds a good reputation and has a decent ranking as an institute. The campus is also large with proper hygiene and cleanliness maintained. The admission process is really simple, you apply with your JEE main score. It happens around the end of June, after JEE Advanced. The admission fees has to be paid during the time of counseling. There are not really some bad aspects related to my College, apart from the hectic schedule which one might complain.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose this course as CSE as everyone knows is the most coveted branch capable of securing jobs if the routes and decisions are taken wisely. Tezpur University also has its share of good faculty. The faculty to students ratio is 1:13. The faculty of our instituted have secured their degrees from reputed institutions over India as well as the globe. We have 4 exams each exam held after a period of 1 month roughly.

Placement Experience

3.5

The campus placements are not that good here except a few. Students of 8th semester opt for placements. The companies that visit include amazon, oracle, Wipro etc. The highest package received till date acc. to my knowledge is 11 lac. The percentage of students getting in campus placements will be somewhere around 30. I opt for higher studies after I get my BTech degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees policy hike has hit some students really hard but your University was generous considering the life of students whose parents can hardly make both ends meet. I got no scholarship so far.

Campus Life

3

Currently the annual fest is the real activity on our college held on even semesters. The tech fest has been banned for a few years due to a molestation case(which was faked). Classroom amenities include desk, benches obviously. Water filter is present on every floor along with bathrooms. Sports is really a very good interest in our college. We have 2 tennis courts, one football and cricket field, one badminton court(worth 3 lac) and a swimming pool. There are many clubs like dance, music, sports , coding, quizzing club which students can join and display their talents.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The room is provided with a bed table and chair with bathrooms in every floor. There are single sitter, dual, and three sitter rooms. Our meals are pretty much good and healthy apart from a few days. We hold a very special meal by the end of the months signifying the start of a new mess month, where students from other hostels are also invited. The registration for hostels is done along with the admission procedure.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute. The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.
