Remarks

College still need very improvement because it is almost 13 years of college formation improvement needed is need in faculty department to bring much more experience faculty and labs facility needs to be improved. But overall the college is very good I recommend every one to experience the life of Uiet seriously you won't regret your decision .

Entrance Preview

Actually I took JEE MAINS score to get admission in this college and my score was 171 out of 360. Since this college comes under panjab university so I have heard lot about this and in a mean while this college has done very good because it was opened is the year 2002 and its ranked now under 30 of all colleges of India actually I also tried for PEC but unfortunately I didn't get the preferred branch. But I am extremely happy with my decision over UIET.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum is kept same as of IIT here. But slight improvement scope is always there and faculty are not so experience over there so here we can improve so panjab university itself is offering Ph.D course for improvement. But some faculty are very much experienced over here same as the level of IIT and NIT.

Internships Opportunities

Internship experience is not good because you have to find your internship on your own. College just provides us just a training letter containing that he is eligible for training etc . I did my training in DRDO were no stipend is provided.

Placement Experience

3

Firstly placements here are just OK . students of Cse and IT are almost 100% placed while placement of Mech is 50-60%, ECE is less than 50% and EEE and BIO is around 30-50%. Recently packages offered by companies here are Honda- 10 lakhs per annum ( Mech 4 students)Delloite- 6lakhs (11 students Cse &IT)Nestle-5lakhs (3 students bio) Infosys- (3.25 lakhs (bulk)Aricent- 4-4.5 lakhs (17 students) These were the main recruiters.

College Events

4

Goonj-2014: It is the National Level Annual Techno Literati Cultural Festival of the University. Aavishkar-2013: This event is the National Level Technical Fest of Panjab University, Chandigarh. This University provides platform to the students for showcasing their their talent and innovative ideas. ICAER-2013: IEEE students branch organized a student conference said ムIEEE Students Conference on Cognizance of Applied Engineering & Researchメ encouraged the students to participate in research activities in research activities in their chosen fields.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible cost for odd sem is around 43k and for even sem it is 23k which total comes around 66k per year which is good as compare to DCE and PEC and thappar and extra examination fees is charged after the end of every sem which is 1.5to 2.0 k .

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship here itself is provided by panjab university to bright student on the basis of there achievements is academics and for category student also scholarship is also provided by the college and even by the state govt also and the most imp for EWS student only 5k fees is taken by the college which is commendable conditions are student should not have any backlog. I don't have the knowledge about the loan faciltity.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life here cannot get better than this it is just awesome here gender ratio is apposite 60:40 girls vs boys. Almost every sports facility is here and even many students from here have played for India in different sports. Panjab university is know for its research so labs are very good here but the quality standards does not meet the same in Uiet. There are always debate session In campus on the current topic so as to keep student aware of current happenings.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel here are just awesome almost all facility's are here but food quality is not good and even not everyone gets hostel here it is on the basis of rank so limited seats are there and annual fees of hostel is around 8k which is very reasonable excluding mess charges which is needed to be payed extra depending upon on how much diet you are having cost is 30 rs per diet. Pg's are also available here near by college for those who don't get hostel at an OK OK cost around 2 to 3k per month on sharing basis.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is just awesome and extra committee is formed to be in touch with the alumni so as to help the students. Senior here are very helpful and supportive and some of they always gives career oriented advices.Time to time alumni visits there own college and almost every year there is an reunion.

Exam Structure

Exams structure is good over here there are internal assement every week, assignments and ppt etc to keep student busy . there are 2 sessionals each of 30 marks out of it best one will be taken and final is of 50marks altogether of 100 marks and practical are of 50 marks contained 2 to 3 credits.
