ANKUR BAISHYA's Review On Tezpur University - [TU], Tezpur

This institute was not my first priority. But still it was in my priority list. Why I keep this institute in priority list, reason is that Tezpur University is one of the most sought-after central universities in India and ranked globally for excellence in academia, Tezpur University has been catering to a wide range of courses since the past 27 years.

As per UGC guidelines this institute follows the course syllabus strictly. Most of the faculties are good but I don't like the teaching way at all. I think some faculties should improve their teachings style.

I interned in NATIONAL THERMAL POWER PLANT and Diese Loco Shed Norteast Frontier Railway for one month without any stipend.

The placements for B Tech curriculum is poor. Here the some companies which visit normally for recruiting students OIL india, coaching institute, Zaloni, Power Grid, ITC etc.

For me, I enjoyed a lot in last 4 years. In a year almost each and every department oraganises some cultural and technical events. One of the big techno cultural event was TECHXETRA. Science departments organise biggest event INSIGNIS. Annual meet. Like this others departments like MBA, EFL, Culture Studies etc also organises their own events. Annual meet held for a month with sports and cultural competitions. This annual meet ends with a DJ night or band show. In the month of April for celebrating BIHU a event called "Bakhantar Lahare lahare" also there.

The university campus is at Napaam about 15 km east of Tezpur. The campus cover on 262 acres (1. 06 km2) of land. A good greenery campus with beautiful infrastructure. Facilities provided by the University for both students and faculties are excellent with high speed wifi, 24 hours library, students lab, technical club, computer reading room etc. For extra curricular activities like music, sports, dance etc proper facilities are available. A big playground with digital score board, two busket ball courts, two tennis courts, bedminton court, Swimming pool, gymnasium etc are available for indoor nad outdoor sports and all these are well maintained.

Infrastructure of hostel is good with proper wifi speed. The maintenance of the hostels are excellent. There are no problem of electricity, water. Most of the hostels are semi solar powered hostel. Hostel room sizes are good for two people.
