Remarks

It's a national college and having good ranking in Nirf and having good placement records on website and impressive reviews on quora as well as well known college in North East. And better option to study in abroad after graduating from here and well known contacts of faculties in Industry and a peaceful environment

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is not good they only teach bookish information and no practical experience of industry as well as always focus on marks and percentage. Faculties don't respect students especially if they are non bengalis and their Phd scholars force us to learn bengali and communicate in bengali. Girls get more marks in every department, M. tech students waste 1 year in curriculum of B. tech level

Placement Experience

0.5

None for M. tech except Computer science students they got really good placement and other core branches students opt for phd bcoz of no jobs after M. tech and placement cell also not make efforts to place these students

College Events

5

All fests are good, major reason to stay there is festival season of NIT, NIT pays lakhs of rupees in event as well as bring celebrity and decorate whole college with help of students and all clubs help them

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are for SC/ST students and kot for general candidate and loan facilities are there in college in SBI branch

Campus Life

Worst things are Wifi as no wifi in campus only in few departments with password protected, Size of library is good and having lots of books but it's a waste as many students study through ebooks now, equipments are good but not maintained

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are very bad only new hostels are good and it's on sharing except for P. hd, it's easy to avail hostels as well as it's costing is around 20000 bucks including mess but mess food is yak and u have to make your own arrangements for food craving

Placements are decent in my branch. But in recent times there is a dip in coming companies.Average package of my branch is 8 lpa and highest goes around 21 lpa. Almost 80 percent students get placed and others choose phd. My plan is to get a good package job.
