Remarks

I have chosen this college because this college is one of the best college in the field of basic science and in research are. This college has good alumni rate in foreign universities such as MIT, University of California etc. Its professors also have PhDs and post docs from these universities. IISER Mohali has very good infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are total 6 exams in a year 4 mid sems and 2 end sems means in one semester there are two mid sem exams and one end sem exam. There is 3 months summer break and 1 month winter break so nearly every month we are having exams and assignments are also there. There are total 9 exams including both theory courses and labs exam so the course structure is very tight so there should be some relaxation in course curriculum. Faculties are fine but grading done by them is not fine.

Placement Experience

4

No direct placement from college side and no company like Infosys, google, Facebook, Microsoft, Tata etc. visit here to hire students because IISER doesn't teach any technical courses. They taught basic science courses and on basis of which students get easily admission for their higher education in some of the best universities.

College Events

5

College life is full of events and activities. There are a lot of scientific talks from students, professors of our college and invited speakers from other colleges and universities. Conferences are also organized and in this year International Cell Biology Conference and Gravitational Conference was organized.

Campus Life

Spread in 124 acre in Mohali, Punjab. Fully spacious with a lot of greenery. Library is of 7 floor and open for 20 hours in a day for full weeks. Library remain close from 5am to 9am. Library also get closed during national holidays. Wi-Fi ha a fine speed everywhere in the campus except at some places in hostels.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, it is compulsory to stay in hostels. It is mandatory for all students. One semester rent of hostel is around 2000 so for one year it become 4000. You have to live in shared room for 2 years and from 3rd year onwards you get a single room. For PhDs they get single room from the day of their joining.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical curriculum is now being managed by NMC who are trying new things which are kind of making it a bit weird and also the adaptability has been a little off. But overall its a good motive to stop rote learning
