All about UILS

The curriculum is good as there are many subjects which are important from the point of view and law like sociology and political science and we also have a new subject UNGP which allows the students to know about UN helping them in public international law and internatinal law understanding. The curriculum might not help everyone in real life but the environment you get there and surviving there surely hell one in real life The recommendation from me to do improvements is in checkinh as many students get few marks initially but after revaluation they increases

The UILS have good reputation in honourable Panjan and Haryana High Court as most of the lawyers out there are from UILS itself so can get help from your senior but the department itself give almost no placements as the department does not create corporate lawyers the internships are given but at very less scale so you need to do all by yourself

In UILS there are 2 courses BALLB and BCOMLLB in both you need to pay same amount of fee that is 5.5lakh rs approximately and near about 1.1lakh rs per year and about scholarship there is a test to give you scholarship and one can also got fee benefits by applying under the category EWS economically weaker section and for admission one can also chose category general, BC, ST, SC snd all have there advantages in admission having lower cutoff and yes the fee is raising annualy but at the same time the fee reduces in every semester so it amost remains same each year.

The socail and campus life of UILS is best you get to stay in hostels which are inside the campus and campus have many parks PU have its own rose garden and i huge library is there for students AC JOSHI library and i one of the best and biggest library's i have everseen There are also alot of fests in PU and alot of events happen in the STUC the heart of PU There are elections in PU which are famous in whole punjab and they are probably the best thing out there the interactions you get in elections are insane and seniors of UILS are also very friendly

I live in hostel the BH 7 and that is so far the best boys hostel in whole PU as the rooms are comparatively larger here and the washrooms are more clean in there the process to get hostel is quite lengthy if you don't get hostel in starting as instart by merit you hostel witj each but afterwards to get hostel is very difficult as you need to get your departments acceptance then the signed letter of DSW dean student welfare and then the warden sigs and you get hostel The hostels are affordable with like 10000 rs approximately for living for 1 year

I tried in NMIMS Chandigarh and SLS pune and i was able to get admission in both of them but I preferred UILS as it was in the main campus of the panjan university and it have huge reputation in north india and i was having my personal preference and also UILS is government department it was also a key determinant The process to get in is like all other colleges you need to clear the entrance exam which was PUCET one need to give exam of 100 mcq based question and it have 50% weightage and other 50% is with 12th result. So one need to perform good in both of these to get admission

The faculty members of UILS are quite good in there jobs and they teaches all the students very well the faculy ratio is also good 25:1 which seems very good to me some the best faculty members are dr shruti bedi our director and dr sarabjit kaur, dr shasha and prof nirmal singh The exams are in the month of may and december and are quite easy to crack if you study well and are based on PYQ's but obviously there are some students not able to crack the exam which is due the own fault of the students

The nightlife in PU is good from most of other colleges as there are hostels which are 24/7 open for the students both boys and girls there are 7 boys hostel and 8 girls hostels making it even for exciting and you can go to each other's hostel and have fun Hostel provide you with a gym, reading hall, canteen, 2 mess, a tailor, barber, washerman, tuckshop, garden and parking for your vechicles and there are many places where you can visit like STUC and gandhi bhawan which is mosty active during night and just outside there is NFS night food street from where you can get food to eat 24 hours a day
