Remarks

Nice college with good faculty members to support students. And my Webjee rank is also acceptable for ECE. Which was my best choice. After joining there all faculty members supported not only me but all the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Maximum all courses are available there. In my b.tech course majority of students are opt for CS. But in our college there are many divisions of CS so it is a good choice for those students.There are all types of labs present there for research and also supported by experienced teachers of this esteem.

Course Fees: INR 5200000 per year

Placement Experience

Many core and IT companies visits our college. TCS, WEBEL, TCS digital, Infosis, Adobe, MI, Electronics and Electrical companies.

College Events

Campus life is just asome, there are many events available there which makes us more interactive to those quests who came here. We also have those teachers who teaches us self defense and ways to keep ourself fit and fine in this time.

Campus Life

Campus is very big with a canteen in every floor for continuous food supply with a regular price. And also there are many tiffin time divisions such as a division where vegetarian can eat, then non veg and also junk food available in our college for those students who traveled long journey from home to college and again college to home.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

I love computer science so I chose this department. The teaching in this department is very good and the labs are also very good. We have many exams in our semester.It would have been better if we had studied our theory paper a little better. Well other than that I definitely put Techno Main , Heritage Institute of Technology, Jalpaiguri Government, kalyani Government and Haldia Institute of Technology too . But the rank didn't allow me to get my desired branch that is CSE in kalyani and jalpaiguri, so I had to close from the private ones and if you have to pick the best one in Kolkata which was also not far waya from my hometown , definitely you choose IEM , as it definately has a good placement track record and good curriculum. Well you can get into this college through WBJEE(which they didn't took this year ) , IEMJEE and direct admission too . But direct admission requires some extra donation amounts too . So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college.
