Remarks

I was interested in pursuing research and was not inclined towards 9-5 boring job so thought of opting for PhD rather than getting normal B.Tech. degree. I am interested in teaching as IISER is know best for its skills of teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course structure is good but requires a lot of improvement. Yes, we are provided with well equipped labs and industrial exposure. Faculties are pretty good and known all over the country. Facilities provided are good as well

Course Fees: INR 275000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements in our college are very very limited as the only scope for placement is in engineering. However, with time things have changed and slowly companies have started to come and recently we got our first senior to be placed so hoping for the best

College Events

The fest is good but as our college do not offer any placements, it is pretty hard to look for sponsorships that's why it is not excellent. However, being a premium science institute, our college also organises Science Fest which include unique competitions.

Fees and Financial Aid

College do not offer, however students do get INSPIRE/KVPY fellowship and can take loan through bank and we are provided some concession on loan interest as there is one bank in our campus so indirectly they provide us loan

Hostel Facilities

It is sharing for first two years and in our third year, we are provided with single rooms. It is not large for 2 seater but decent for single seater. The average rent per semester is Rs. 2000 so it is fairly decent.

Hostel Fee: INR 5000 per year

Chandigarh University provides good campus placement opportunities so don't worry about campus placement from 2nd sem you will be able to grab campus placement offers in many companies, no of campus visited here, Capgemini, cognizant,tcs,to the new digital,ediferse , Swiggy, meesho etc. and 40% students placed till 3rd semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do this degree since I was in 12th class. I wanted to be a doctor either by doing BDS or MBBS. This curriculum of a degree prepares well for the real words so that we can start our own practice, but you have to be willing to learn if you do not learn in your college properly. Then you might have to learn from outside, but it prepares you well for the real life. The exams are held once at the end of every year and the difficulty level of exams is moderate to high, so you have to study very seriously if you want to pass with good marks After the theory exams, they take the practical exams and there is equal mark distribution between theory and practical, and you have to obtain 50% marks for passing
