Delhi University is believed to be one of the most reputed universities in India. I chose College Of Vocational Studies because this college provides with vocational courses in various domains which give practical touch to the subject.
Course Curriculum Overview
I believe, the course that I'm a student of is very advanced but there is lack of resources. A lot could be achieved from these vocational courses if the curriculum is updated and a bit of focus can be shifted on practical learning. Faculty is good and the professors are ensuring to provide maximum individual attention to the students.
Internships Opportunities
I have been engaged with 2 internships so far. First one was in the Operations & Marketing domain at Mycaptain where I earned an incentive of 4200/- over a base stipend. 2nd internship is the one I'm involved with at the moment, my profile here is Human Resources Head at Expanrr where my pay is decided to be 6000/- lumpsum for 2 months along with added incentives.
Placement Experience
Many companies come for the placement drives every year. And the number is increasing day by day. Many prestigious companies/firms like KPMG, E&Y, Indigo etc. have been our constant employers throughout years. Students from job domains like Marketing, Human Resources, Administration, Management, Operations, Technical,etc are hired in great numbers. The placement cell of CVS is very active and both the staff and students work rapidly to ensure smooth working of the cell.
College Events
I'm a part of my college fashion society, thus I have seen the cultural events and Management in depth. Tatva is one of the most awaited fests of DU and CVS is known for its cultural societies. We have one of the best Dance, Theatre and Fashion Societies. There are multiple events held at our college in regular interval on a large scale.
