Remarks

The college location is well at the best is good for commute, to any part of the city. Again timings are well suited for working people. Again there is no discrimination for weaker academics or religious or castesim.

Entrance Preview

I got a first division in my +2 (Higher Secondary) to get admitted in the college. I particulary opt for the college as the college provided me the evening shift of classes to make my work life balance with my college life.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum, though common but the college made me learn interestingly. The Management, Enterprenuership, Tax, accounts, Law, economics, Cost, Audit, Mathematics & Statistics were my subjects

Internships Opportunities

Their is no specified recruitment or internship cell or department in the campus. But few companies often visit and recruit students. the major industry sector are telecom, IT, Finance and Marketing.

Placement Experience

3

Since the college has no dedicated placement department data of how many placed where, is not quantifiable. But the training and education brings out the skills enough for 1 to find a suitable job.

College Events

3.5

There are loads of cultural and management events, festivals and fairs that occurs in the college. For the science department too, whatever I have seen or heard about, the activities are enough to occupy student throughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is one of the most economically feasible college in the city. It is well affordable. The course among the others in the college is the most economical. There are few scholarships and fees waiver schemes also for certain class and/or merit of students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Yes. there are a few couples. Apart from scholarships, there are also cash prizes/rewards for meritorious students. Application may be made through proper channel for fees waiver or reduced to upto certain extent and period.

Campus Life

3

Campus is average but full of enjoyment. Hanging out is the most common phenomena. There is indoor sports room and many activity rooms. Since the shift is evening so there are mainly boys. but the hangouts, meetings, interactions, carrom, etc. are worth mentioning.

Hostel Facilities

3

The canteen is non-vegetarian. the food quality is average and the canteen ambience is not also very healthy. But in terms of pocket, it is very friendly. there are many options available outside the campus though.

Alumni/Alumna

seniors are often busy with studies or with the activities/events. They are not into ragging/nagging, or bossing you around. But yes if approached for help, either they will help you or let you know from whom you can get help.

Exam Structure

Exams and practicals go smooth. they are well scheduled and informed prior to make students plan and prepare accordingly.

Faculty

3.5

They are skilled, experienced and dedicated. Faculty are the main pillar of the college success. They provide the required guidance not only for the syllabus preparation but also for career development as a whole.

On passing 5th semester, the students of Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration are eligible for campus placement offers. The campus reach out college during our sixth semester to interview us. After passing sixth semester we can proceed with the jobs in case we qualify. All the Big 4s viz EY, Deloitte, PwC and KPMG including with MNCs reach our college for campus placement opportunities. They definitely select students each year. The highest package offered till date is 10 lakhs with a associate profile. The average package is 3 laks. The percentage of students getting placement offer is between 5% to 10 %. My plan after the BCOM course is becoming a successful Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant.
