Likes

Class rooms are big and many amount of students can be seated or can do seminars.
All teachers have different ways to teach.
Seniors or union groups are friendly to us.

Dislikes

Library should be more big or little bit spacious
There should be a campus ground because there is so many students

Course Curriculum Overview

My course type is English so main of selecting English was i like to listen stories and understand them. If you study or listen to your teachers it will be more easy to learn and write in exam. And making notes is best way to study English

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 13060 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Total 4yrs BA(English hons) fees is 13060 which is better and I'm general category so this is my fees but i don't know other category fees type. During admission fee was 4530. I don't have lab fees because there's no need of lab in my course.

Campus Life

This is my first year so i don't know much but till now we had our freshers then college competition with other colleges and we wil have our class picnic. Library have so many books. There is science labs and computer lab.

Admission

There were many college where i have applied and top 5 were other college but i made the biggest mistake because apply for college were different from other years so in tha we can apply upto 25 colleges u can apply your choice one on tops to bottom and i didn't knew this so applying in good way i applied all here n there so this college name i kept in 2 number and unfortunately i got this and i can't change it..if i would have applied in a proper way naming my choice colleges at first then i would have got my choice.

Faculty

Student ratio is average because our college is evening college and who ever attend college frequently are good at there studies and helpful or friendly. Now our college is getting renovation which is a good thing and it will attractive more. And i don't about our exam type because it will be our first time to appear.

Night Life

We have cafeteria were are so many things to eat. Girls room or boys room in which badminton carrom we can play for free period. Our campus timing is 4:30 to 8:25 which is not much safe for a girl and for my mistake applying unknowingly in this college i didn't knew about timing.

From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.

Presidency University: A hope of light but needs a lot of upgradation

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Department of Bengali is one of the oldest Bengali department in the state. It offers undergraduate honours and postgraduate courses. Recently, they have started PhD courses as well. The Bengali department is actively engaged in research in hot topics in literature. The curriculam of Presidency university is most diverse among all other University, colleges in the state. It begins with very basic topics at the first year and ends with very specific research level papers at the final year. The syllabus is so advance that bachelors students can compare themselves with the masters level students after completeing the course. I will mention the bachelor course curriculam in summary: Semester I- Prachin Bangla Sahitya O Bangalir Itihas sandhan, Bangla bhasar itihas o bhasatotto, Semester II- Prak chaitanya juger bangla sahityer itihas, Madhyajuger bangla sahityer itihas o kabyapath, Semester III- Shorosh o soptodosh shotabdir samaj: itihas o chaitanyadeb, Ashtadosh shatabdir samaj sangkriti, changa-alanlkar o prof sangsodhan, Semester IV- Adhunik juger udbhab, gadya o probondho sahitya, kabya-kabitae itihas, natoker itihas o rupbhed, Semester V- Bangla Upanyas, Bangla chotogolpo, Rabindranath, Semester VI- Unish o Bish shataker bangla samaj songskriti o sahitya, bhinna bhasar sahityer itihas o tar obhighat, bharatiya alangkar shatra, sahitya o shilpo. Other than these compulsory courses, there are lot of exceptional elective courses that attracted me more towards joining this prestigious university. Since Presidency University select specific students through their difficult entrance tests, the semester exams should not be difficult for the students, but there are some papers in the course which needs to delt with extra care and attention to get extra marks.

I choose this college because this college is nearby my house and I have chosen the course B.Com Hons and the eligibility for this is minimum 65% in class 12 from a commerce background and you should pass your 12 with mathematics and commerce . After all these you will get your admission.
