Remarks

It is the topmost college in West Bengal and is included inside top 15 in the country. What's more, it has mere fees of only 10,000 which is just unimaginable in the present scenario. So decision to choose this college was a no brainer

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus is up to date with good exposure to the techniques and tricks required in the modern world. In the first year we are taught everything which we might need later even if we do not continue our required stream. Faculties are helpful and are always ready to help when required and eager to help always.

Class Size: 37Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yes I did an Internship 2 months ago in Content Writing in CARHP wherein I worked for a month and got ?5600.

Placement Experience

Many companies come for campusing and most of the people who are interested in jobs do land up one either by campusing or through referrals from the Alumni. Others go for higher studies. Entrepreneur cell is promoting startups and me and my team are working hard to do something productive.

College Events

Events and extra curricular activities are a plenty ranging from technical to fun fests all year round. The prestigious Hult Prize is held every year wherein many different young entrepreneurs pitch their idea which has the potential to change the world.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no loans available since the cost is too less. However if the problem is genuine they never back off it and offer help to the meritorious students.

Campus Life

It has all the modern facilities like the gym, 4 floor library, top class equipments in lab and full Wi-Fi connection in the campus. It also boasts of a large playground and wherein every sport is given equal priority according to one's own interests.

Hostel Facilities

I have not opted for hostel so I have no idea about it but most of my friends stay in PG as they are unable to get hostel facilities as there are a lack of hostels. In PG,they have to bear an average fees of 5000 including food facilities.

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
