Course Curriculum Overview

Exams are held twice in an year and regular class tests are carried out throughout the semester and internal grades or marks are given on the basis of these class tests answer sheets are checked by the university.

Placement Experience

4

For our courses the placements are 100% but in other engineering it's 65 to 70% because of industrial problem and there are many good companies who prefer our college first like stena,TK,Mearsk,NYK. The internship is also compulsory in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very expensive according to me but you will never regret this fee considering the facilities college provides. The fee is around 4 lakh per annum which is expensive . The students are given the scholarships on the basis of their performance in academics.

Campus Life

There aren't much extracurricular activities going on in the college. The social services wing is active and they do various activities like donation drive, blood donation camp etc. from time to time. Some students take initiatives to organize discussions on social issues and all but the participation are usually very scanty.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very useful for placements. Most of the companies are contacted through alumnus who have been students of of our college. Since our college graduates are there at top posts in various MNCs, they are very helpful.

Admission

The entrance is condicted and the name if exam is IMU CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) exam. The admissions are done purely on the basis of IMU CET exam and the cutoff for the college is good. You have to get good marks in order to get into this college.

Faculty

4

The faculty are world class. Most of them have done their PhDs from Ivy league and other famous universities in the world. Many of them have taught at foreign universities too. However, like in any other college, there will be professors whose mode of teaching you like and whose you don't. They are definitely resourceful anyway, and are food researchers themselves.

The course curriculum is pretty outdated. I am in cybersecurity specialization and there are only 2 subjects(starting from 2nd year) related to cybersecurity.and those courses are good but the faculty teaching them arent that great. they just read out the ppts, which they dont even share.

Placement Experience:

Placements start from final year. Students become eligible in 7th sem. Training sessions begin earlier. Aptitude and coding practice provided. Mock interviews are also conducted. Preparation quality depends on effort. Many service based firms visit. Some product companies also come. Roles include developer and analyst. Support and testing roles common. Core jobs limited for some branches. Multiple offers for top performers. Average package is moderate level. Top packages go to few students. Around half students get placed. Others find off campus jobs. Internships improve placement chances. My plan is skill based job.
