21 Nov, 2025 MHT CET will now be conducted twice a year from 2026 onwards for Engineering, Pharmacy, and Management courses. The first session for PCM Group is tentatively scheduled from April 11 to April 19. For PCB Group, the exam is expected from April 21 to April 26, 2025. Check details.

08 Sep, 2025 LIT Nagpur UG Fee structure 2025-26 has been released. The total academic fee is ₹ 4.6 Lakhs.

LIT Nagpur Fee structure 2025-26 has been released for PG program. The total academic fee is ₹ 3 Lakhs.

Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), Nagpur was established in 1942. The Institute introduced Four Year B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) course and first batch of students were admitted in 1977. In the year 1994 the Institute discontinued its B.Sc.Tech. Course & in its place introduced a new B.Tech. Course in Chemical Technology with specialization in Petrochemical Technology, Food Technology, Pulp & Paper Technology, Oil Technology and Plastic & Polymer Technology.

In the year 1934, the scheme was prepared for starting a two years' B.Sc. (Tech) course
It is one of the oldest and best engineering college for Chemical Engineering in India

The admission process was very easy but it takes lots of time, we have to take all documents with us submit them fill out the forms it takes lots of time. Yes, I gave the entrance exam of MHT-CET for admission but you can also get admission through JEE. For admission, certain documents are required. Domicile, caste certificate, entrance exam mark sheet, and 12th mark sheet.

Admission:

This was based on only JEE Mains in 2014 as MHT-CET for engineering was not available for that year. So, we have to score more than 92 percentile in combinedly PCM (12th) & JEE. All of the processes are done after the result of JEE Main. The state conducts a CAP round where all the colleges will be given choice to the participating students. Every year the cut-off is different and declared on the official site for the CAP round of engineering of Maharashtra state colleges. During my admission, 50% weightage was on the 12th PCM score and 50% on JEE Mains.

LIT- A decent college which will change your life

Admission:

I have admitted to the college in year 2019 , through tfws quota. As, the normal fees for general is also quite low , that is just 28000 inr. I have got the college with just the fees of 15000. The admission happens through mhcet exam for Maharashtra domiciled student and for the other than Maharashtra students can apply through JEE exam. The J and K candidates are alloted on the basis of their 12th percentage. There's no criteria of age. The minimum marks for general candidate is 130. Also the best thing is that the other state students cutoff goes quite low in JEE exam.

Candidate should have passed B.E/ B.Tech in relevant stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized university. The fee for the MTech in che,ical engineering is INR 1.50 Lakhs. For admission to M.Tech course, the candidates should have graduated in a relevant discipline. M.Tech admissions are done on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score. Admissions are carried out through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP), conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.
