The paint manufacturers such as Asian paints, Berger paints, Nerolac paints, and Axalta coatings offer roles in research & development and manufacturing. Also, vehicle manufacturers such as Tata motors, Mahindra vehicles manufacturers, FIAT, etc in paint shops and given a project on improvement online. The internship will teach more practical & industrial knowledge to the candidate. Manufacturing trainees will learn the manufacturing process of the paint, departmental works for all the departments and basic knowledge about the factory. Paint shop trainees will learn the different paint application methods in the paint shops, application processes, detailed knowledge of paint-shop processes, etc. Trainees will actually see the robotic & manual paintings. Whereas R&D trainees will be given training over paint formulation concepts such as PHR ratio, P: B ratio, shade matching, knowledge of colour values, grinding, pilot batches, etc. Most of the trainees do not get a stipend here.

There are tons of companies visiting every year for Training and Placement. Mostly Reliance, Thermax, Galaxy Surfactant, Adani Wilmer, Jk Paper, BILT Paper, Vedanta. Project under Pulp and Paper Technology is totally related to Paper Industry. Students have to complete assigned projects during the period of Training.

Reliance Industry, Asian paints, Berger paints, JSW are the companies that offer internships for students who clear the 6th semester. After this, there are minor and major projects for students which help in brief knowledge.

You will get the internship from college and if you want to try on your own so you that facility also. Most students get internships from the college. some companies are paid and some are unpaid. some companies give stipends.

Polymer, explosives or research based chemical industries generally offer internships in the sixth semester. Internships generally provides technical knowledge, laboratory skills and industrial knowledge.

For B.Tech students, LIT is the best Institute in Maharashtra in terms of the placement. There was almost 100 % placement of all the eligible B.Tech students, before the COVID pandemic. I have seen students getting 15 - 16 LPA package from the Institute when I was not a student there. But since I joined, the highest package was around 6 - 7 LPA. Average package, on the other hand was around 3.5 - 4.5 LPA. For M.Tech students, when I was a student there, the placement was 50 %. The highest package a student got was 6.5 LPA and the average package was around 5 LPA

Even in the critical situation of the pandemic, the college is providing internships to the students which are helping them to continue their development in spite of the pandemic, which is a very good thing.

In the final year, the training and placement cell department of LIT provides Summer Internship to the student which is quite helpful in placements. The internship will be either giving a stipend or without stipend too but yes experience is always there. For the project, there is a minor project in the 3rd year and a major project in the final year.

The internship is provided to everyone who is willing to do and capable enough to do. In LIT , from third-year onwards internships are provided. There are winter internships and summer internships as well.
