Remarks

The university though still very new has created a good name for itself. The location is perfect. The facilities and opportunitues provided by the college are top class and students can reach their potential if they work hard.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is extremely efficient and meets the modern day demands of the industry. This particular course is very new in our country. Thus, it had the advantage of being designed in a planned scientific way. A normal day is not very hectic though we have regular exams.

Placement Experience

The college is still very new. Still, it has tie ups with major corporate houses like TCS. The university regularly organizes job oriented trainings and skill development programs for students. We also get assistance to grab the best internships for our career.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee is Rs 2,77,000 and miscellaneous charges of Rs 8000 are applied at every odd semester which takes the total fees for the three years course to be Rs 3,01,000. This is affordable for most of the students and is also similar to the university fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is awarded to students based on their excellent performance in 10+2 board exams. Students with good board results and low family income are also given scholarships. Students who represent their state or country in various sports are also eligible for scholarships.

Campus Life

There are various students clubs in the college where one can pursue their interests. The college also has indoor and outdoor sports facilities like cricket, karate etc. The atmosphere is amiable and students of all background are respected.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is excellent. There are seperate hostels for biys and girls. There is round the clock security at the hostels. The best part about these hostels are the cleanliness that is maintained inside them and all the basic amenities are provided.

Admission

I got admission in the college on the basis of my 10+2 exam results. The criteria was an aggregate percentage of 55% or above. After that a merit list was created for the students who had applied through the online portal. I chose a BBA in digital marketing because I was always fascinated by digital media.

Faculty

The faculty is very experienced and helpful. They have high qualifications and most of them have industry experience which is really helpful in my course. They are always available for any help and guidance.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

Niper Kolkata: from starting to end

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
