Remarks

No one in the world is perfect, so our AOT is not also perfect but at the end of the day it is my college and the land from where we all are generated. Today we all are at the different parts of the world but somewhere we all are chained through one bond

Entrance Preview

I got admitted to the college through the WBJEE. My score at that time was quite a below only 15151. At the time of our admission not even the first batch got passed out. they ware at their final year. But surprisingly the college at a very short time span became one of the top private engineering colleges of WB. Process for admission is very simple like any other colleges. You can have entry through AIEEE also. Also there are management quotas. lateral entry at second year of your course is also permissible. Situated and had its first ever batch at the year of 2004 recently completed its 11 years in the process of supplying deserving candidates for the industry and also the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

A very good bench of faculties and their huge experience is the pillar for the success of AOT. Faculties care for the students and nurture students here like a school. A wide range of courses like Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, CS,IT, ECE, AEIE, ICE, MBA, and newly started M. Tech courses etc would help you to choose the right subject. Proper guidance by the faculties will help you to choose the correct subject for a bright future. Also there is a chance to change the subject at 2nd semester of your first year with required marks in the specially arranged exam.

Internships Opportunities

Management is always ready to help the students who require special help. A fund is always there to help poor students who can not afford the fee structure. Every year selected students get scholarship from part of Management of AOT. In AOT, seminars, industrial visits, invited lectures and national/ international conferences are organized on a regular basis to enhance professional competence of students. In every academic session Academy of Technology arranges summer training/internship for every pre-final year B. Tech student.

Placement Experience

4.5

Regarding the campus placement AOT has a very good track record from its very first days of its journey with a average record of 85-90% placement average from 2008 - 2015. even last year they placed 80 % students at different MNC's. This year process is going on. AOT's teaching-learning process, examination system and training for improvement of placement quotient make our students hardworking and motivated, and thus enable them to achieve right placement by their own merit. AOT's endeavor is to provide maximum possible number of campus interview opportunities to the students with equal emphasis on IT and Core engineering placement and prolonged placement support even after graduation and we have been successful in this mission from the very 1st batch. In last 3 years, an enviable percentage of AOTs students have been recruited by more than 100 renowned corporate houses during campus placement. AOT's strong Placement Cell is regulated under the chairmanship of the Institute Chairman accompanied by a resourceful advisory body consisting of corpporate stallwards from IT and Core sectors. At Academy of Technology, placement assistance is not an isolated event, it is a lasting commitment. AOT has been accredited by Capgemini, Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra and Wipro Technologies for campus placement. Even during this year of recession AOT witnessed remarkable campus placement which has enabled the placement graph to touch a new height. Total 66 IT and Core engineering companies have already recruited 81.20% students from 2015 batch till August 11. The annual average CTC is Rs. 3.23 lac p.a. Result of a few companies are yet to be declared. Confirmation has already been received from many companies to visit the campus for recruitment in June & forthcoming months.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
