8.18 CGPA, B. Tech, 2012 pass out in CSE branch

The condition of college was not good during my time. However it has become awesome now. The college is very huge and we had wonderful experience during my college time.

JEE 11188, NIT Jamshedpur is very good college for CS students and is the closest college from my home town dhanbad.

The internship experience was very good. The students did internship from various companies including Amazon, DRDO, IBM, HP etc. I didn't get any stipend but was offered an industrial project implementation.

The placement for Computer Science and Electronics branches are really awesome. 2nd last year: 3 students got permanent job in Amazon and 3 got internship. The package was around 12L (base) + 10L stock + 2L annual bonus for 2yrs. Other students got placed in Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung etc.

The fee structure during my time was very less (7.5K) including hostel charges but now it has increased 10 times (70K per semester). The hostel and teaching conditions have increased dramatically now. Students feel proud of studying in NIT JSR.

College provides good scholarship for OBC and other minority people. Lots of students have availed this facility during my time.

The campus life was great. I enjoyed at my peak. We had lots of curricular activities and sports events. We had robotics, volleyball, cricket, football etc events.

During my time the hostel and food condition was very poor. I would rate 3/10. But now the condition has become excellent and I would rate 7/10.

The college seniors are very supportive. They will help and guide juniors at any level. There are seniors who have helped juniors in getting placed in different companies.

Exams and labs were very chilled. The lab is not in good condition and the marks were not given as per the correct experiments we do. However examination questions were good.

There are few faculties which are good while rest are having average knowledge and teaching skills. DS & Algo faculties are very good. COA (Computer Architecture and Organization) faculty is not at all good. Networking faculty is very experienced and have good knowledge.
