Entrance Preview

During 10+2 level, i took the coaching of Jee-Mains and along with regular topics ,Jee-Mains preparation level of topics were discussed a little bit more.Reviewing both the streams at a time, made me gain some confidence which helped in getting through the Entrance test.As per my rank and cllege rank, i was alloted this college.The Admisiion process is so simple if you have all the required cerificates inlcuding all marks sheets etc.

Here,they provide course curriculum during the starting week of the college and that makes us understand what is going to happen in the cominf few days.

Placement Experience

Many students are placed here. We can say that the percentage of placements are more than 60 easily.Many companies including HCl,TCS,L &T, Oracle ,Mahindra ,Lanco, Apollo, Amazon, crompton Greaves, Reliance, Wipro, Ericsson. Average salary is more than 5 lpa and highest is 66 lpa.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for all NITs is the same and its the same here as well. For OC,OBC its 70K for year and SC/ST tuition fee would be waived off.For each sem 35K as tuition fee is to be credited into the college account following which the registration would be allowed.

Fees and Financial Aid

SBI situated in the campus provides Loan for those students who apply.Scholorships arent provided by the college but you can apply for others.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is pretty good as it gives a good oppurtunity for slow learners as there is a lot of time for each internal. There are 2 internals and 1 final exam. Marks would be given after the second week of the completion of the final exams. All the classes would be 2 way interactive.

Faculty

Our Faculty are from different places of the country. Some from the same state and others from different Educational Institutuions across India.Some of them teach in English and others in Hindi too.faculty standard was good as they are professionals having a lot of experience.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
