Adventurous college days

The college provides a very good opportunity to make you disciplined hardworking and experience different things. In addition to this one gets an opportunity to interact with international famous scientists from across the globe and also a brilliant opportunity to pursue higher studies abroad and settle there.

The college conducts its own entrance exam and on the basis of marks obtained in the exam, they call for admission. As AIIMS is one of the most prestigious colleges in India it was obviously my first choice over other colleges for a post-graduate degree.

The course was very structured into two years. First-year includes theoretical classes for different subjects(around 12) and the second year involved a dissertation on a project along with some classes.

Adventurous experience as we had to manage numerous things at the same time and experience and learn and try to find out leisure time in such a hectic program. I used to get around Rs 2500 per month as a stipend.

There is no provision for placements the only option after post-graduation is to qualify for NET and try for Ph.D. The college has its own funding to provide Ph.D. opportunities for some students.

The college conducts annually a cultural festival with some cultural events and also conducts educational seminars from foreign faculties at regular intervals.

The fee structure is extremely feasible which is around Rs.1000 only for the complete course which is extremely small in comparison to the stipend that we got.

No, I don't know about this but college does offer some scholarships for doing Ph.D. I don't think any kind of loan is available.

No extracurricular activities were conducted extracurricular activities are not included in the course. However, the college premises has facilities for various sports like tennis, football, cricket, gym facilities, etc.

As seats are limited in the hostels we were allocated rooms after around a year and the rooms were okay and were sharing type.

All the alumni students are well placed and most of them are abroad pursuing their post-doctoral fellowship. So my college provides a good opportunity to go abroad.

The exam structure was extremely hectic leaving us with little leisure time after every 10-12 days there were internal exams in the first year and final exams are conducted on fixed three days sufficient gaps.

The faculty was highly qualified and disciplined and cooperative. The faculty consists of about 10 professors and other guest faculties taking some classes and some foreign scientists are also invited from time to time at regular intervals.
