Remarks

I choose Laxmi Bai College as this is near to North campus and only girls college. It's off-campus so there is a less and good crowd. I studied B.COM(H) therefrom 2015-2018. There are many societies in college in which you can participate. Societies kept on taking new initiatives for the betterment of the college. When I took admission there was not a good infrastructure as compared to other colleges but when I see now everything has changed. The open gym has been opened by the college for students and teachers. Teachers are good and cooperative. You can learn a lot if you took the initiative. Fees are also reasonable or less as compared to other colleges. I used to submit around 8000-9000 per year for B.COM(H). Easy transportation for students who used to travel through the metro but there is a problem for students who travel through the bus as buses are very lesson that route. Placement is also not that good. When I was there in the year 2018 very few students got placed because only 3-4 companies visit our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I belong to commerce background and want to do specialization in Accounting so I choose B.COM(H). Faculty are well qualified there but teachers are so much overburdened that's they haven't the proper time to give extra time to students. Sometimes they need to leave classes because of office work. The teaching method is quite good. Exams are held on a semester basis in every 6 months. If you have studied well then easy to clear exams. Proper assignments need to be submitted on time to get practical marks.

Placement Experience

2

Students who are in 3rd year of their course are eligible to participate in Placements drive. Very fewer companies came their for hiring and also package was very low. In my third year, Tata Power came there and took around 10-12 students and their package was 2,40,000 or 3,00,000 PA and one or two more company came there and took students from other courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is the minimal and reasonable cost of study at Lakshmibai college. You can study more because of off-campus, less disturbing elements are there in college. I haven't participated in any scholarships so I haven't any idea. Placements are very less as compared to North campus or other colleges.

Campus Life

4

Annual fests are good, boys are strictly not allowed there. Artist came there and students enjoy their performances. Other than college fest there are societies fest also. Different societies like commerce society, philosophy society, NSS etc organize their separate fest according to their theme. These society fests are more learning as compared to college fests as students organize everything by themselves and learn a lot of things like funding, advertising, organizing and many more. All these fests are organized between January to March. There is a 2-floor library which is large enough for students. You can find all types of books there, college keeps on updating their library books with the new edition. College is famous for its good performance in sports also. There is a common room for students also where they can sit, chit chat, and enjoy. The cafeteria is also good but prices are quite high for the food. The market place is 5 minutes away from the college where you can go for shopping and food.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4 semester you are eligible to sit into on-campus placements i.e. after completing your second year. Companies start to arrive in final year or pre final year of you're going for 4 year degree. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC and other companies like accenture, zomato, airtel can be seen in placement season. Average package is 4-5 LPA ranging from college to college and depends individual skill set and practical experience. Highest could go upto 22LPA in our college. Half of the students gets placed during the season but not all. After competition of degree students can pursue various courses like CA, CS or praper for CAT/GMAT.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Placements are pretty much above average in our college, better than many of the off campuses colleges as well as some of the South campuses colleges. * students are eligible for campus placements from the very beginning of their college. From the first year itself. * Companies such as Delloite, Genpact, KPMG and many more tier A, tier B and tier C companies visits to our campus. *Highest Package is 21 laks PA * Average is somewhere around 4-5 lakhs * Being in the placement cell i can assure you that there are n number of profiles offered. * Obviously planning to getting placed through the college itself.
