Remarks

The college management is strict but efficient and capable.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was comprehensive and research driven. Industry-specific knowledge could not be imparted through it because the field was literature except through English Language Teaching. There were enough placement offers provided to the students. There were no industrial visits.

Placement Experience

5

Byju's Dell Silicon Media Tech Blowhorn Atleast 30% get placed. Students were specially prepared for placement

College Events

4

There are fests for every department and they are all big events. In Blooms Blossoms Darpan Theatre festival Magnifica Christ LIT Biogala Cognito Prathibimb Thrive Abhikrama Esprit Chris PO The fests are huge and have some thousands of participants each.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is roughly 60,000 and it is debited from the university debit card yearly. There were additional charges for department uniforms and department activities. I do not know much about fee-breakdown and whether it is shared with the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was a scholarship opportunity that gave 5000 rs for two or three students who scored well academically and took part in extracurricular activities.

Campus Life

Campus Life was rich but stressful. Gender ratio varied for different courses. Diversity was one of the greatest strengths of the college. There are enough extracurricular activities for the interested. There are students from all over India and all over the world. There is hardly any discrimination within the university and great tolerance for differences in people.

Hostel Facilities

I had not opted for hostel. The fee had to be paid yearly and the facilities were good. Room sharing was possible. There was a punch in system for security. It is located inside the campus. A fair number of hostel seats are usually available.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors and alumni are kind, friendly and helpful. They are helpful academically and otherwise. They always return to the college and continue to keep a connection with the college.

Admission

I opted the course because I wanted to become an English Professor. I chose this institution because of its long standing reputation and from reviews I had heard from alumni of the college. Application-Exam-Interview is the usual drill for new admissions.

Faculty

4

Atleasttwehty five to thirty lecturers are there for the course. Their average age would be from 25 to 45. Most of them have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree and either NET or Ph.D. or both. They mostly had necessary certifications required for their expected level of expertise

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester where you have to do an internship project for the semester based Most of the companies that visit are from the news organisations like Bangalore Times, The Hindu, Mint, Times of India, Deccan Herald and other companies like ITC also visit frequently. I am not quite sure about the packages offered.

I choose economics because it is very much relevant to the present generation as well as the previous. As economics needs analytics skills it prepares for current world. Exams were every 3-4 months frequently and it is not difficult to pass.

Placement Experience:

By the end of the 2nd semester, we are constantly notified about any vacancies in any department. The college placement cell sends us notifications through our class monitors or sometimes throyoutlr HOD. Even after the end of our final semester exam, we are added in a group that is specially meant for job opportunities and placements, where they constantly update and notify us. Out of 32 students in our class, a total of 12 students got placement. As for me, my plan is to do PhD in the said field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is relevant for us which helps us to attempt competitive exams. Actually the curriculum changes our mindset and it helps to face the real society. I don't think that improvements needes in curriculum. We get one & half hour for internal tests and 3 hours for sem exams and it is enough foe us to cover whole question paper.

curriculum is extensive and large and some students find it hard to grasp all the knowledge given for the syllabus. it may seem daunting at first but i rather prefer this than having little to nothing to study as it helps me find new things to read which i would have never figured out before.
