Remarks
Teaching faculty is great with a very supportive management
Course Curriculum Overview
I would say at the time No. College curriculum was flawed they were more interested in training students like robots to get jobs rather than focusing on real life skills. Things are changing now as many have realized importance of real life skills like public speaking, sales, negotiation, leadership etc.
Placement Experience
There was no direct placement support from college. Although the name of the college on the Resume attracted many interviews.
College Events
Umang was the biggest college fest among others. Some students only chose NM over the competition to participate in Umang. It provided a very good platform to young talent and i have heard stories that there are talent scout who attend the event people got picked in big projects directly based on their performances.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very very reasonable even 10 years back. For merit students it was less than 2,000 a month including library fees, and other fees for study materials. There were some seats reserved by management where students paid a bomb to get in like i remember one guy paid 2.5 Lacs rupees as donation to the trust to get in via management quota.
Fees and Financial Aid
No i dint opt for any scholarship or education loan. The fees at the time were reasonable i guess it was partly sponsored by government.
Campus Life
Gender diversity Its fairly even 50-50. Extracurricular activities like College Fests - Umang is a very popular college fest. Students come from various parts of city and some even relocate from other cities. Majority students like 90% of them also simultaneously pursue CA.
Hostel Facilities
No hostels at the time in or around college campus. Students from other cities stayed with relatives, 4-5 students shared a rented apartment or took hostel rooms which were not near or related to college.
Alumni/Alumna
None at the time there was no Wats app, Facebook was fairly new. But once FB and wats app started we got connected later.
Admission
Merit List basis basis 10th grade marks. i remember i just made the final cutoff list. if i had 2 marks less than what i had i would have been out. The process was fairly similar to all colleges They had 3 merit lists. Once the merit list was out they gave time to confirm admissions by paying 1st Sem fees. The students who did not do that gave way to 2nd list and so on.
Faculty
Very Good. Most teachers were well qualified and had tons of teaching experience. They were all friendly and approachable not only with academics but also as mentors for real world situations students faced. I would attribute a big part of my success to them.
