Remarks

1. Excellent Location advantage- Gurgaon is a corporate hub, with access to potential employers 2. Excellent reputation of the B-school 3. Nature of the program- PGPIM includes mandatory 6 months exchange semester in European college ESCP. This helps get good exposure to International management & business

Course Curriculum Overview

MDI Gurgaon keeps its curriculum well updated as per Industry standards. Besides standard, courses like Entrepreneurship, Organisational behaviour, Organisational Planning are added & updated regularly to prepare students well for all professional prospects post MBA. Program also includes 2 months full Internship & college provides all on campus support with it. Sanjay Bakshi, a well known Finance faculty in India, is a full time professor at MDI Gurgaon.

The Boeing Compny in Seattle USA, International Strategy & Business Development Intern, $34000 for 6 months, International Internship applications floated once every year & 3 Indians selected

Placement Experience

360 students, all placed with majority placed in Consulting & Marketing. Other roles offered are in Product Management, Finance, HR, Operations etc. Placement committee is a rigorous one, works very hard to keep Corporate relationships good. Alumni network plays a key role for jobs later, we have a dedicated MDI alumni Gmail group where Alumni regularly post openings in their organisation for us

College Events

Campus life at MDI Gurgaon is vibrant. We have students from diverse academic background, work experiences, thus from different walks of life- This makes the classroom a diverse set of students. Extra curricular activities are well promoted & we have annual sports meet & cultural meet as well Annual Management fests are conducted where students from IIMs & other top B-schools come & participate

Fees and Financial Aid

Star Education loan from Bank of India, Gurgaon at Interest rate of 9% per annum. They run this scheme for students offered admission into top 10 Indian Business schools. MDI, Gurgaon is one of them. 9% is the least you get for Education loan.

Campus Life

MDI Gurgaon is a big campus located in the heart of Corporate hub. We have cricket ground, Basketball court, Tennis courts, Badminton courts, Interior sports games facilities. Wi-fi is offered for free & is well managed. We have a big, 2-storeyed library with thousands of books to pick from

Hostel Facilities

Unlike other infrastructure, Hostel is not great at MDI, Gurgaon. Rooms are sub-standard & without air conditioners. Food is just good enough to go with. However, MDI Gurgaon Administration team has realised this & are working on a building a new hostel facility.

Best college for MBA in Gurgaon (Delhi NCR).

Placement Experience:

Almost 650% of students land a PPO with the companies they intern at. For the others, the Placement Cell does an amazing job of lining up companies for campus recruitment. The highest package recorded has been 16 LPA with an average revolving around around 6 LPA. I think it's reliable placement scenario and we are given enough training to do our best in the interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum combines the theory as well as practical subjects. The course includes projects and assignements based on the different tools like excel, Power BI, Python, SQL. The course assignments and projects take place in the end of the trimesters for most of the subjects which make it quite hectic to submit them for some subjects overlapping each other.

GLIM Placements start from the beginning of 2nd year as till then we are also done with our intenrships. Also, placements here are lesser than that of Chennai but still median of GLIM is around 15 lakhs which is much better than other B-Schools of NCR.

Since my CAT percentile was quite less, 96, and being from a top NIT, I wanted to get into a B-School which could complement my NIT tag, while my fream was a tier - 1 college, my percentile shut all doors. Hence, with an interest in fin, I joined the best new IIM for Fin - IIM Tiruchirappalli. There I found the batch size to have increased by about more than 30% to 522. I chose MDI Gurgaon over XLRI Delhi, IIM Shillong, new and baby IIMS, NITIE - PGDSM. The reason for choosing MDI was its proximity to my hometown, Tier 1 status. I was rejected from IIM ABCLKI and FMS - Delhi mostly on the basis of my undergrad scores and a CAT percentile which was not high enough. The admission process was an interview shortlist on the basis of profile and CAT score, followed by an interview and the release of a merit list. Internship in ABG !!

You need to appear in the CAT exam. Any percentile over 90%ile with a sectional of 70 70 70 cleared will fetch you a call from MDI Gurgaon. However, to convert core, 96+ is a safe score for non-engg and 98.5+ for GEM. After you get a shortlist, you'll have to appear and fill out a form which MDI-G will send and you can edit your details there. Further, you'll get a PI date.
