Remarks

I was having Interest in mechanical engineering, relatives told that it is a good college, so I taken admission in beant college, but was known afterwards that there is less or no placement. Study quality was poor and no personality development was there.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was very poor, faculty was good but the method of study and environment was not good, no personality development was there, no companies for placement used to come, no aptitude tests were conducted.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience

Very less opportunities, very less companies come for placement, fake companies come and package offered is very poor, and politics work in placement. No personality development provided by college.

College Events

Overall it was good, good people, good teachers, good environment, festivals organised were also good, management was good. Everyone had friendly nature and all were very helpful. Cultural festivals were well managed.

Campus Life

Infrastructure was good, all facilities were there, library was good enough, classrooms were good, labs were good with practical training, sports facilities was also good, equipments in lab were proper to practice with.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
