Mithibai college is one of the most reputed one in all of Maharashtra. It also has its place in among the best colleges in India. For a commerce student, the best course to pursue is the BMS degree because it gives one a holistic development in all fields one needs to prepare themselves for stepping in the future roles of managers. The college is also home to various alumnus like Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor Khan,etc. The faculty is qualified in all aspects of teaching and uses a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge so that all the students get the best out of them. There are various college fests all round the year which adds to one's profile.

The course syllabus gets updated as per college and university norms. The college department regularly update the syllabus and adds subjects that helps in gaining knowledge in fields which are very less touched upon by universities. The faculty is competent enough to teach as they are highly qualified.

I interned at Ambuja cements Ltd. I worked in the finance and accounting department for a period of one month. The stipend decided was ?5000.

The placement process starts with students attending compulsory placement lectures which is meant to groom them. After that, there are a lot of presentations on which companies will be visiting on campus and how one has to prepare for the interview process. In some cases, the visiting company also takes an aptitude test as a requisite for the candidate to proceed further. The alumni network is good enough for job referrals.

On the technical aspect, the college has installed fingerprint sensor for students to enter in the college. Without an id card, one cannot enter the college. There are various cultural festivals that keep going on all through the year and which attracts heavy participation from students. Management festivals like Kshitij, Colosseum, etc. are the limelight of our college. These festivals go on for days and number of celebrities come as guests. Colosseum is one of the biggest self-managed course in all of Mumbai. A number of students participate which can go to around 300 people.

The infrastructure of my college is decent. It does not have big grounds for sports on campus but has a different ground for sports like cricket, football, etc. The college has a WiFi system but the students are denied to access it. WiFi is used for educational purposes only. The college library is very big in size and has all types of books, ebooks, pdfs, kindle editions, editorials, international documents, paid services of newspapers like New York Times, Bloomberg, Harvard business review, etc.

Hostel facilities can be availed easily around the college as there are a number of hostel providers. Hostel facilities vary from one provider to another. The basic facilities that they provide includes a bed, a personal almirah, joint bathroom (in most cases). The only thing costly in Mumbai is staying. The cost of a hostel or a PG is around the same and can cost one person almost 3 lakh a year.
