Anonymous's Review On Miranda House, New Delhi

Miranda House is a women's college with a remarkable faculty, a good infrastructure and great reputation. It has great placement opportunities along with alot of exposure for all talents. Having located in North campus, it also provides a great amount of exposure in terms of inter college events.

I had Economics and English as my disciplines for which we had the best faculty. Professors like Shampa Ma'am, Sharmila Ma'am, Shweta Ma'am, Neetu ma'am and so many others were the best teachers one could wish for. We were never bound by the "stick to the text" restrictions. We could debate, disagree and think beyond our text and develop on our theories with ample guidance given to us.

Interned at UNEAKO (as a research volunteer) and Wordsworth (as a teacher) with certificate and LOR as incentive.

The placements are in diverse fields. The placement cell is really active and has been able to bring from very renowned brands like decathlon, Amazon, NIIT, Teach For India, Icici etc. to startups like UNEAKO, Whitepanda and many more for internships and placements throughout the year.

Throughout the year, the college hold numerous events which are organised at department/society/college/inter-college levels. The events are a mix of academic and non academic seminars, workshops, competitions and alot more. Apart from that, the Students get to participate in numerous events organised by other colleges of DU.

Miranda House College has a strong IT backbone that is comprised of National Knowledge Network, WiFi & Internet, Digital Resource Centres, Technology enabled classrooms and Digital Notice Boards. Besdies the hard copies, Miranda's library has numerous ebooks and books in Braille for the blind students. Our college has a sports ground, an Outdoor Bounce Back Shock Proof Surface Basketball Court and a Tennis Court. The college has a Fitness Centre which is very well equipped with weight and cardio training equipment. We have 4 cafeterias in college that include the main canteen, science block canteen, Nescafe and Pizza and More.
