Megha Goel's Review On Kamala Nehru College - [KNC], New Delhi

•I chose Delhi University because of its name and so called added value. It provides maximum exposure for personality development. •I chose Kamla Nehru College because it is one of the few good colleges of Delhi University which provide Psychology courses and is in New Delhi. • I wanted to study Psychology in college but due to less percentage and a deduction of 2.5% (as I didn't have Psychology in 12th grade) I couldn't get a seat in Psychology Honors. While going through the cut-offs I saw BA Programme course which provides graduation in 2 discipline subjects (Psychology and HRM). The BA Programme course is known to only few a people and isn't much advertised. • After being in Kamla Nehru College for a year I can say that it is a great college to be in. The teachers are great specifically for Psychology, they make the classes really interactive (through discussions), interesting (through examples) and informative (through providing extra material and out of the syllabus knowledge). The societies are amazing too, some notable societies are Enactus, Debate Society, Enigma and Adagio (dance societies).

The syllabus isn't as updated or interesting as much as the subjects themselves are but the faculty tries their best to make the classes engaging as much as possible. The Psychology teachers make class interactive, informative and interesting.

We couldn't have company visits for our department due to Covid-19. And I don't really have knowledge regarding the alumni. For Psychology-related careers, students can't start working at any company right after graduation they need to get higher education to get a job.

The college events are good. The Diwali Mela was on a large scale and nice. There are smaller-scale events too such as the departmental events. The participation is great. I haven't achieved all the events myself as some were canceled due to Covid-19 but I have heard they are great.

The campus is beautiful with red brick buildings. The chaupal, an area to sit and for Nukkad naatak performances, is really beautiful. The college wifi works pretty fine, the size of library is huge, the amount and variety of books is great and the Psychology lab is well equipped.
