Remarks
Since we were the first batch to be passed out there was lot of infrastructure development which was happening. College indeed was oriented towards the overall development of the student. Management did a splendid job by bringing many companies for placement.
Entrance Preview
Entrance exam - CET. College - Nitte Meenakshi institute of technology. Since the era was full of IT I chose the same. The course has many subject which actually prepared you for further roles in corporate firms to play on.
Course Curriculum Overview
As per VTU standards. They had all the elective and the mandatory subjects as prescribed by the university. Faculty was always supportive on all the electives.
Internships Opportunities
No stipend. May be now that college offers stipend for projects which actually are recognised by the university or the management. Management decides on the stipend structure and the procedure to a avail the same.
Placement Experience
Since we were the first batch timers we had less placements. Now the placements are very high and almost every student gets an opportunity to attend all the exams for all the companies based on there GPA.
College Events
More than 5-6 events at college level. A technical and cultural beast was conducted every year. The invite to all these events are published and advertised at various colleges. Many other college participate in these events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It was according to VTU. Now the institute is autonomous still they follow the fee structure as per the VTU standard. Merit seats have a lesser fee than the payment seats. Also they have management seats with bomb shell fees prices.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have no clue as I didn't avail any loan/scholarship. All the reputed banks provide loans to this college as this now autonomous and also has very good placements.
Campus Life
The college had seminars on almost all the above topics mentioned. Many speakers from reputed institute and were subject matter experts by them selves. The seminar and debates educated us in all ways.
Hostel Facilities
Extremely good. The campus has almost all the facilities of good standards. This is now a very well established institute in Karnataka.
Alumni/Alumna
No alumni, as we were the first batch to join.We had many alumni from the main branch at Nitte. They generally were helping and guiding us on all topics.Many a times teaching faculty itself was there to guide us.
Exam Structure
As per the university. Each semester the student has to pay the exam fees. These are as per the university standards. Usually the fees are lesser than 800 rs per semester.
Faculty
Extremely good. Most of the faculty were the teachers from main branch Nitte. Highly qualified and were very approachable. Their guidance was always there on all aspects.
