Facts about CMRIT college,Bangalore

I wanted to do computer science but since it includes hardware too I opted information science . This course includes more of software . In our college information science is a good branch . The teachers are good. We have three internals and then the final exams . The internals are not that difficult it is medium level.

Most internships are online and very few offline. The college doesn't provide you with internships. You need to search by yourselves. Mostly the Stipend is around 15k . They will help you with web development project and all. You need to do internship in 2nd year.

In our college, placement training starts from second year itself . But the major placements start from 3rd year 6th sem . We need to have atleast a cgpa of 8 to be eligible. Companies like Wipro,TCS, Accenture, Infosys do visit our companies. Last time the highest Package was 25 lakhs. This year it is 29 lakhs offered by a Japanese company. Our placement percent is 60% approx.

You can get admission through kcet, comedk and management. Through comedk it costed me 2.25 lakhs , through kcet it is 80k and through management it goes to about 4 lakhs per year . There are many scholarships available too but mostly for the backward classes.

The annual fest name is cultura and it happens for two days once in a year. There are many clubs in college like dance club, music club, acting club, literature club etc. But not alot of events happen since college student support them. If you are interested extracurricular activities, do not come to this college then.

The hostel cost around 1.20 lakhs per year . The hostel rooms are spacious but the food is awful. Sometimes there is no water in the washroom . They provide chicken twice a week. Their breakfast is bad . The hostel curfew time is 7:30 for girls but for boys they don't stop them ever. Girls will face Alotta issues in hostel.

You can get through comedk, kcet and mangement. They don't accept jee results. The cut off is decreasing day by day . This time the cut off accepted for information science was 25k and for computer science it was about 15k . These government exams dates will be announced publicly and even their form will be available on their websites.

There are good amount of teachers in college . We have never felt shortage of teachers. They all are good and are always available for us . They solve all our doubts. They are also appointed as our mentors and they keep guiding us. We can talk to teachers wherever we want and they are very approachable and helpful.
