Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (SSIT) is a private engineering institution established in 1979 under the Sri Siddhartha Educational Trust. It is a constituent college of Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (SSAHE), a deemed-to-be university recognised by UGC, located in Tumkur, Karnataka, approximately 70 km from Bengaluru.

SSIT holds a NAAC A+ accreditation. Six BE branches, namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

The campus spans 55 acres in Tumkur with over 900 computing systems, dedicated branch laboratories, and a central library. A faculty strength of 201 members supports teaching and research activities across UG, PG, and doctoral programmes.

Total fees for standard BE branches are INR 8.00 Lakhs for the four-year programme. The premium BE CSE (AI and ML) variant is priced separately at INR 12.20 Lakhs per year.
  • M.Tech: 8 specialisations including CSE, VLSI Design, Structural Engineering, Digital Electronics, and Thermal Power Engineering. Annual fees: INR 80,000.
  • MBA: 4 specialisations including AI and ML, Business Analytics, Hospital and Health Care Management, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Annual fees: INR 3.00 Lakhs.
  • MCA: 2-year programme. Annual fees: INR 4.00 Lakhs.
  • PhD programmes are available across engineering disciplines through SSAHE.

In the 2024-25 placement season, SSIT recorded 227 placement offers and 143 internship opportunities. Top recruiters include Bosch, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, KPMG, Infosys, and DXC Technologies.

Admission Update: SSIT admissions for the 2026-27 academic session are based on KCET 2026 and COMEDK UGET 2026 scores, processed through Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) counselling conducted between July and August 2026. Classes for the new BE and PG batches have commenced. Management quota seats may still be available through direct SSAHE admission.

Standard BE branches with NBA accreditation include CSE, ECE, EEE, ISE, Mechanical, and Civil. SSIT Admission Process

BE Admission

SSIT BE admissions are governed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority through KCET and COMEDK UGET. Candidates with Karnataka domicile primarily use KCET, while COMEDK is available for all-India applicants.

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in PCM (40% for SC and ST candidates)

M.Tech Admission

M.Tech applicants require a BE or B.Tech degree in the relevant branch with at least 60% marks. GATE scores are preferred and Karnataka PGCET is also accepted. SSAHE conducts direct admissions for candidates without GATE scores, subject to eligibility.

MBA and MCA Admission

MBA applicants must hold a graduation degree with at least 50% marks. Accepted entrance exams include KMAT Karnataka, Karnataka PGCET MBA, MAT, and CAT. MCA admission requires a graduation degree with Mathematics and a valid Karnataka PGCET MCA score. Both programmes also offer SSAHE management quota admission for eligible applicants.

In the 2024-25 placement season, SSIT recorded 227 placement offers across all engineering branches. An additional 143 internship opportunities were offered by participating companies. Computer Science Engineering led with 81 offers, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering with 62 offers and Information Science and Engineering with 34 offers.

SSIT Campus and Infrastructure

SSIT is located in Tumkur, Karnataka, approximately 70 km from Bengaluru on the Bengaluru-Pune highway. The campus spans 55 acres and houses all academic, research, and residential facilities within the premises.
