Remarks

I chose this university because it was one of the top universities in India, it was close to my home and hence daily commute was possible for me and having an idea of the excellent campus life, drove me to prefer this university to others.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is vast and very detailed. It includes every concept that the respective subject has got in UG level, and is much advanced than the normal B. Tech course offered by other colleges across India. The industrial exposure is not provided to students, rather the students have to find their own industrial training courses. The faculties in our department are excellent (except a few) and are very helpful and friendly. They teach each and every concept very efficiently and make it interesting.

Placement Experience

There are many companies which come to the campus and for our department, there are companies like Hero, Maruti Suzuki, Tata steel, Larsen and Toubro, Airbus, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, other PSUs, Capgemini, PWC, Tcs, Infosys etc. The placement process is led by a combined efforts of both the authorities and the students so that any opportunities don't slip past the students. Overall the placement of the whole Faculty of Engineering and Technology is around 83% this year.

College Events

The campus life is excellent. Everyone is friendly and there is a sense of unity which you will not find in any college across India. The seniors are friendly, the juniors are like our brothers and sisters. The whole campus to me, is like a big family. Also if you have heard about rumours of ragging, rest assured, there isn't any present in the campus. There are many events throughout the year in which you can participate, from technical events to management events and there is no limit of extracurricular activities with the presence of all the clubs and societies, starting form Mountaineering to photography club and from music club to chess club.

Campus Life

The sports facilities provided are very good, with availability of cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, tennis and volleyball. There is free wifi for students as well as faculties all over the campus. The workshops are getting an upgrade this year and they have moved in many new machines. The labs will soon have new machines as well.

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
