Remarks
It's one of the top 10 medical colleges in India. It's a government college, affiliated to DU. And since Delhi is where I live, it couldn't get any better. And it's centrally located, wonderful college life. The college is about a hundred years old. The hospitals are quite renowned and the patient inflow is huge, which accounts for a major factor for choosing a college for medical course. More the inflow, greater is the opportunity to learn. The students are encouraged to take part in various co curricular activities to take a break from studies. The college fest and other activities are organised and managed by the students themselves right from the scratch. And since it's an all girls' college, you get to manage stuff right from the basics, be it about sponsorship or handling the crowds at star nights. So you get a first hand experience, which I think is really important for a holistic personality development.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm a first year medical student. Our curriculum had changed this year and ours is the first batch to come across it. The faculty takes extra measures so that we do not face any problem with the course.
Placement Experience
During the final year, the students are offered an internship in the hospitals associated with the college. So the students work in the hospital as interns. Rest I'm not sure about, I'm a first year student, so can't really comment on that.
College Events
Campus Life is great. We have an annual cultural fest, completely managed and organised by the students themselves. Right from the scratch, i.e from finding sponsorships to dealing with the crowds during star nights, everything is managed by us. This makes us handle huge responsibility, learning how to work under pressure, which I think is an important factor for an all in all personality development. We also have intra college competitions - debates, case presentations, sports etc
Campus Life
There's no wifi. The classrooms are fine, I mean it's enough for our needs. Properly air conditioned. The size of classroom, however, is small according to the batch size. The major drawback about the college is that the sports facilities are not proper. We do have a gym and badminton court but it's condition isn't really good. For volleyball we have a ground at a few yards from our college. But sports facilities really need to improve. I lost interest in sports after college because of no proper place. The college library is great. It's really resourceful. The labs have all the equipments required,in working condition. But they are not air conditioned which makes it quite a task to work there during summers.
