Course Curriculum Overview
Semester system. Totally laboratory based research related study. 4 Year course. Course was campus recruitment friendly. More than 30 company visited every year. I was placed in wbsedcl, a govt of wb enterprise. I was visited several industry like dvc, wbsetcl, wbsedcl etc.
Placement Experience
Wbsedcl, cts, tcs, bel, infosys, tech mahindra, m.N dastur, capgemini, wbpdcl, l&t and many more. Recruit through written test follwed by g.D and interviews. All most 70% students are recruited through campus placement every year. There are language lab where special classes are organised for campus recruitment.
College Events
Technical fest name sristi. Cultural fest name jeclat. Very big festival are them. Many college are parcipated into this program. The college students were participate in many technical fests outside the college like iit, nit and secure position in competition.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My monthly tution fee was rs 500 and now it is rs 1000. Pade by cash. No additional fee is there except rs 5000 security deposit and rs 800 for semester examination fees. All the fees are transparent. There is no hidden charge.The fees are very feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
Half free or full free scolarship are there. I was eligible for half free scholarship. Eligibility is the anual income of family would be within 80 thousand. Rs 1000 was provided as scholarship for full free student and rs 500 for half free scholarship.
Campus Life
Ladies were only 4 out of 60 students. So ratio wad 15:1 for men vs women. No tolerance for gender. No politics. There are various cultural club are there for extra curriculum. Music club. Sports club. Dance club. Gymnasium are there. Free teaching are provided to nearby poor students.
Hostel Facilities
I didnt stay. But rooms were shared by 3 students. 60% Students accommodation was there for ug students. There was no hostel for pg students. In every hostel there are very hygenic canteen. Food quality is very good.
Alumni/Alumna
Very helpful seniors are there. They are very active in campus placement. They are now posted in very reputed companies.
Admission
Wbjee rank 2086. Admission through counselling by wbjee rank. Class started in july 2009 in electrical engineering. The college is very old and famous. Campus recruitment are very good. Infrastructure is very good. Ragging was under control. No complaints were there for ragging at that time.
Faculty
More than 5 lecturer. Avg age of 40 years and all are m.Tech passed and persuing p.Hd. 2 Of them was working in industry before joining the college. All the faculty are minimum 5 years of experience in teaching. 2 Of them were already completed the p.Hd courses.
