Course Curriculum Overview

Yes the curriculum was totally to the point. Some additional out of the box subjects and events are also available. Many industrial visits were organized during our course. Self learning and self study was given boost. Extra cirricular activities at some extend were allowed.

Placement Experience

There are decent companies visiting the college for placements. Some of them are Indian Navy, Thermax, ARaymomd, Praj Industries, Bharat Forge, Neilsoft, and many IT sector companies. Around 30% students get placed every year. Yes various soft skills classes for aptitude and personality development were arranged by the college for preparation of interviews.

College Events

Engineering Today- A technical event performed every year and I did participate in it every year. Shuvanjali- the college cultural fest including dance singing and bands. Shivdarpan- the college literature and arts fest Ashwamedh- inter college sports and cultural fest that is a major success every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for this program is around 1lakh10thousand. NEFT, RTGS and demand draft are the modes of payment accepted by the college. Other fees like library fees, etc is invluded in this. There are no additional fees attached. And yes there is total transparency.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college approves the EBC for students who have their annual income below 6 lacs. This can be done by filling out an online form on government website and then submitting it to the office of scholarship in college along with all necessary original documents.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is 70:30. Parties other than annual DJ fest during Ashwamedh is not allowed. Farewell parties are sllowed to be taken outside the college premises with the permission of HoD. Various eorkshops are also held. Cultural team, sports team, magazine team, the technical events team bring glory to college.

Alumni/Alumna

Some seniors are very helpful. They guide many juniors towards projects, management and related stuff. Not only financially but also emotionally. Passout alumis from last 5 years have been visiting college to cheer them up. Be present at their shows, conpetitions and stuff.

Admission

I got admission in this college through CAP rounds. I am a diploma student. And further for engg I chose this college as it was nearby. There are Cap rounds taken by the government. Total 4 rounds. In case you get the college in first round you csm freeze it and take admission or carry on forward.

Faculty

The tentative number was about 20-30. There were PhD, ME level professors with thorough industry experience in their field. Their average age can be noted as 35. Some faculty were really good at their level of teaching while some struggled while handling the teaching and class.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
