My college experience

The college has a very good reputation in training but the campus placement is less.

The course curriculum is made by keeping in mind the practical knowledge. Enough industrial knowledge is being provided under the curriculum. The curriculum is based on both theory and practical knowledge. In case of exam,there are 2 cycle test and the end semester exams. There has also been marks for attendence and assignment. Yes there were industrial visits organized by students.

NYK MOLTA Synergy PIL Good wood Sunmar Written exams and campus interview are organised for the palcement. 40 %students are placed every year. Yes the institution proves special classes from experienced lecturers for placements.

Technovation is the technical event which is being organised by the college. 16 colleges all over india participate in this event. It consists of several events like quiz,poster making,paper presentation,basic workshop skills etc. Other wise no other inter college events are held. Intra college sports events are there.

My course duration is 4 years and my fees per year is 3 lakh. It is comparatively less than any other marine colleges. There is fees of ?1000 for registration. We need to pay ?35000 for securing the seat for admission which is later compensated with the fees.

No i have not opted for any educational loan. The college gives a scholarship of ?20000 to the topper of the batch and ?10000 to 2nd topper of the batch.

The college is only for boys. In the college there are students from most of the states of india. There is nothing related to politics. There is a college head which is being selected by principle in interview. Most of the students are from middle class family.

Yes,i have opted for hostel as it is compulsory for all the students. The hostel facilities are nice,in each room there are 4 students. Each room has separate washrooms. There is no fee break down given to the students. Everything is included in 3 lakh college fees per year.

Yes the college seniors are helpful. They guide us for the studies and the job opportunities. The alumni shares their work experience.

I opted for this course because i wanted to be in merchant navy. Excellent training. Fully equipped workshops. Strict rules. Nice faculty. comparatively less fees. Nice infra structure. IMU Affliated college. Steps for taking admission. First of all we need to give IMU enterance test. After securing rank in the exams,we can apply for councelling and get the required course and college. Or we can directly contact the private marine colleges which are affiliated to IMU and get the admissions according to the ranks.

There are 7-8 lecturers for each semester. And the average age is bw 40 to 50 years. Most of the teachers have a degree of m.tech. There are many chief engineers having a experience more than 35 years on ships. Most of the teachers have a good knowlege about their subject and can make us understand the subject in a proper way. Some of the lecturers hold relevant industry experience and certifiaction.
