Remarks

Being a government college, this college is really very nicely build and maintained. The fees structure being very feasible and a whole lot of facilities provided. Even elections are held every year so thay you can choose your representative.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I selected Bsc. Mathematical Science as my course which includes Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science as core subjects. So if you are thinking for post graduation, then you will have three options to select from. Course structure was pretty simple, books were easily available in the library, notes were provided by teachers and labs were conducted frequently to help the students gain practical knowledge. Semester system is followed, that means 2 semesters in a year. So a three year course will include 6 semesters, each semester containing 4 subjects each. Odd semester exams are held in dec while even semester exams are held in may. Results are released online in about 1 or 1 and a half month of exams.

Placement Experience

5

The placement cell of the college is one of the best placement cells in the whole university. Top companies like KMPG, EY, RBS, Amazon, Delloite, PWC, Wipro and many more, visit the college every year to hire students from various different courses. The facebook page of the placement cell keeps the students informed about all the companies that are coming to visit. Internship fair is also held every year where many top companies visit to hire interns providing descent stipend.

College Events

5

Every year a number of fests are held I am the college campus. There are small fests, that are the fests organized by every department from the college, then there is the big main fest, organized by the college president and ruling party. Some of the departmental fests like Computer science fest XENIUM, commerce society fest COMMERCIUMCOMMERCIUM. Various events are organized In these fests where any student can participate and even win some money. The main fest AAGHAZ is held around Feb which is held on a large scale, where every year different celebrities come and perform. Various celebrities like Raftaar, Milind Gaba, Jeeveshu Alhuwalia etc have visited the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When I joined the I paid nothing because I came through EAMCET. And my total fee is 35000 and the government paid it. Later on the fee was doubled because of the reputation of the college increased.

Fees and Financial Aid

College doesn't provide any facilities but with the help of the government they give scholarship. Andhra bank is near to the college so the scholarship is deposited in the account and the bank is connected to the college

Campus Life

4.5

An extracurricular activity or extra academic activity is an activity, performed by students, that falls outside the realm of the normal curriculum of school, college or university education. Such activities are generally voluntary, social, philanthropic, and often involve others of the same age.

Alumni/Alumna

Tolerance to Ragging is 0 and strict actions are taken against ragging. Although there is 0 ragging in the college. Seniors are really very helpful and kind. Most of the questions that you have about anything, your seniors will have the answer to it. More than yours seniors, they will be your friends. Talking about alumni, a lot of cricketers like Parwinder Awana, Mohinder Amarnath are PGDAV alumni. And the famous Kauva biryani Actor Vijay Raaz, is also an alumni of this college.

Admission

I got the admission in this college throw the CAP rounds, online admission process held by the DTE Maharashtra. to eligible for the admission process you need 50% in the PCM, and need to attend the CET entrance exam. then you have to register for the Admission process. in the admission process Two cap rounds are held. for the first round you have to apply the colleges then the merit list will be declared. same will be done for the second round the one provision round will be there to fill the vacant seats

Faculty

4.5

The teaching staff is really well qualified and efficient. There is a seperate Head of Department (HOD) for every department, ie, science, commerce, arts etc. Most of the teachers have Doctorates degree to their name. Attendance of th teachers is really good, in case a teacher is not able to take a lecture, then the teacher informs the Class representative (CR) prior to the day of lecture. Also the teachers are really helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is filled and designed according to the emerging technologies in the food and organic industries, one gets to know about the real life food processing and various processes which are involved in between before it reaches to our hands. The area of improvement could be instead of spending more time in just different experiments in the lab, there can be workshops and speaker sessions could be there to give real exposure to the students.

Our course (B.Sc Hons. Mathematics ) is more focused towards descriptive and theoritical method since my course belong to pure mathematics along with that I have statistics in my generic elective (GE) which is more application based. Our course is structured more towards reseach part. Whereas the commerce and economics courses are more relevant to practical industry knowldege. The usual struture is divided into two part in each sem generally known as end and mid sem exam. Whereas there exist weekly and monthly examination which majorly depends upon the teaching style of the faculty.
