Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good but some changes are definitely required with time so applies to it as courses like megatronics are developing, exam structure quite good and also had improved since it was recognized as an institution of national importance, exams are basically held twice a sem mid and end sem mid

Placement Experience

Placements in branches like cse,ece are excellent beating even nearby colleges like BIT MESRA while placements in branches like meta,pie etc are good but only in quantity means everybody get placed but salaries offered are not that good

Basically, there are three major attractions Ojass-the techno-management fest Which attracts students from colleges like Bit mesra and all,it is also the second-largest fest in North Eastern India Culfest-is the cultural fest of the college Urja- is the annual sports meet

Hostel Facilities

Hostels here are awesome even better than some of the iits basically they are newly constructed and so all looks really fresh, hostels here are compulsory,mess facilities are also good with the mega mess opened some years back, I would rate 8/10

Admission

I went to Kota for preparation for 3 years got a decent rank.I got this college in the special round,Csab round then I had to report at the college on a specified date for registering myself after which I got production and industrial engineering in the college.

Depends on various factors one of them is that what is your branch, not all the faculties are the same, actually have when it was not declared as nit, teachers continuing from that time are not good generally but faculties recruited after that are excellent most of them from nit

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
